So, why did the probiotics help him to get his life back, when antibiotics (both oral and IV) did not?
Did the probiotics help his immune system to improve and fight off the Lyme?
I have read that yogurt, kefit, etc. contains lactoferrin, which is supposed to kills so many things and also destroy some forms of biofilm. Is this why he got better?

To be honest there is NO way you can say THIS or THAT made me better-- you cannot differentiate between what treatment caused what since they are all synergistic. So I really don't think that taking probiotics was the sole reason this person is healthy again.

Antibiotics tear down the body while probiotics rejuvenate it.
But probiotics are far from a cure or even major solution. It's just 1 of many ways to help support gut healing.

If you have time to read the story, it is quite interesting.

Oh my gosh, this is unrelated but looking at the story, and the picture of the man's torso with EM rash... I have had that a few times in the past year, comes and goes, and had no idea it was an EM rash! I had a rash when I got reinfected at the site but it was different and went away. I didn't know it could be patchy like that. Geez... better power up the camera next time it shows.

Yes, it is a fascinating story.
I know there is so much discouragement. But people do get better, some with antibiotics, and some other ways.
One thing this story tells me is how important it is to build up your immune system. And there are many claims about probiotics and related things helping so many conditions. Who knows?
Anyway, we can't give up. There are people getting well everyday.
