I'd be willing to bet serious cash they're TREATMENT GUIDELINES say cure in 3 weeks and all other ideas are non-standard/not covered.

Cigna is my insurance company. My son and I are both being treated for Lyme by a LLMD in another state that does accept Cigna.
After 6 months of treatment and check ups no issues. The only thing Cigna has asked for so far is for us to consider mail order abx instead of going to CVS.
All the Best,

My company switched to Cigna this year. They will not cover Malarone at all. Not even with a letter from my dr. And we're not calling this lyme.. (FL1953).
United paid for it, no questions asked, and was on the first tier.. which means $15 for one month of it.
Now out of pocket... and getting the new generic which right now is only $2 less per pill. After it becomes more popular, it should get cheaper!

I know isn't that great? They reference ILADS. I don't expect any insurance company to be perfect. But it is a big step. And couldn't the fact that they have this, a big national insurer, help our claims with our own insurers?
I'm gonna bookmark it in case I have any problems with bcbs.

The problem with insurance companies, if they will pay for orals, usually comes with IV, especially extended IV.
