So sorry to hear that you are in such a miserable place right now. Its a very difficult thing to go through, and many of us on Lymenet understand, because weve all been through our own version of h*ll.
You mention many of the things many of us have experienced, both physically and emotionally. The extreme fatigue is because your body has been hit by a bacterial Mac truck which has hit your immune system, your hormones, all your systems and cells, and every part of you down to the center of your being.
Its good that you have connected with a counselor, for support.
The key for you sounds like something you have already mentioned, that you need better medical care. I think that a caring, knowledgeable ILADS LLMD can help you get through this. Do you have one, even if he/she is 4 hours away? Also, having a Lyme-friendly PCP to coordinate local or acute needs is helpful.
So, if you havent already, please try posting on Seeking Doctor. Maybe there are some doctor upgrades available to you.
If you suspect a parasite, the tape worm you mentioned, it needs to be treated. I dont know much about these guys, but many on Lymenet have given extensive info on their effects and how to treat them. You could try a Search in Medical Questions to get you started.
Your night sweats could be Babesia, so Im wondering whether you are currently in treatment for this coinfection.
Is there a Kansas support group available to you? Try these from Support Groups:
I was just having a very rough morning. I don't know if your brain is affected by this,
but when mine is everything looks as black as the ace of spades.
Still not up to par, but two things happened to make things better.
One of the nurses finally called back and said my kidneys are much better and back into a normal range.
They had been in stage 3 kidney disease.
My DO had put me on a herbal kidney treatment that seem to have done the trick.
It appears I am no longer making kidney stones.
That is something to celebrate and my BUN and Creatinin are both back in normal ranges.
I think a long term stuck kidney stones had created the issues in my kidneys.
Now the stone is gone and kidneys are doing much better.
I also was told that I have a large amount of stool in my colon.
I did an enema and felt a huge difference. I go at least twice everyday,
but evidently not enough to keep me cleaned out. Anyway, my spirits are much better.
Colon pain was part of my issue, and once I realized I need to clean out things got better.
I have had a botched colonoscopy and my bowels are very tender even after 3 1/2 years.
Hopeful4, what did you mean by the following sentence?
"Also having a Lyme-friendly PCP to coordinate local or acute needs is helpful.
What is a PCP"? We live in a very small town with limit Drs.
Thanks again for the support. Today I am especially grateful for you and this site.

A PCP is a primary care physician. This is the internist or general practitioner that you see for normal illnesses, not lyme.

I do not have a Lyme friendly PCP. I live in a very conservative rural Ks area. We are sparsely populated and good doctors are almost nonexistant. I travel for all my care.

Wow, youve really been through a lot. Glad to hear that your kidneys and colon are functioning better, that is good news.
So, because youre in a small, conservative town, you dont have a Lyme friendly PCP (which TF gave you the information about it, thanks TF).
But it does sound like you have a helpful DO (is that a Doctor of Osteopathy?) who has given you herbal kidney treatment. That sounds positive, he/she has some knowledge of herbs and uses them to help you. That makes me think that the DO is open to alternatives, at least to some degree.
Are you able to discuss your Lyme disease issues with the DO, even if the DO doesnt treat you for Lyme? I think thats where I was going with the idea of a PCP.
Good to hear that youre having some better days. Take care.
