I have a new primary doc just out of med school.
I asked him to do a liver function test.
Test results came back low.
I am going to do a search on the topic when able.
I assume it is due to being on abx since 2003 or due to years of taking excedrin daily to help me function for a couple of hours a day if I keep it simple.
Doc's assistant said doc would be checking my past lab test results with the records of my former primary doc.
I think he only checked my liver once.
I asked this doc to check my liver as I know we are supposed to have the liver checked very 3 months or so.
But, what to do about all of this...I am not sure.
Don't have what it takes to figure it out right now.
Doc just wants to keep an eye on it and do another test on down the line.
I'd like to get off of excedrin and abx myself.
But, I also would like to get out of bed too.

I don't know. I just requested lab work for liver function test as I recalled my LLMD's assistant years ago telling to get one about every 3 months.
My vision and health was not doing well enough when I went to the lab to read the lab request.

Normally tylenol causes liver enzymes to be too high. Have never heard of it lowering liver enzymes. So your results have me confused.

I have had consistently low liver enzymes for some time. My Lyme doctor says it is not a concern when they are low.

She said low LIVER FUNCTION .. I would think that is different from low enzymes. Low enzymes would be a good thing.
Isn't Excedrin aspirin or ibuprofen based???? (not Tylenol?)

I get an LFT (liver function test) done monthly and enzymes are included in that. She did not say which specific test was done.

Maybe it is nothing to be concerned about.

My liver function tests have been high, but they are saying it's probably from the Bicillin and I'll be finishing up on that next Friday.
Do keep us posted on what you find out, Kam. I don't know much about this topic but hoping all is alright. HUGS.

I think I need to go to the doc down the hill that I was told about.
Dragging my feet though as not sure about the traveling thing and health and if it will be worth it.
I'll give this doc another week to see if he is just going to be one of those docs who is a duck.
