Currently on abx and herbals. I asked llmd about taking serrapeptase and he agreed ......he suggested taking 1 pill 2xday.
I currently have the Nutramedix serrapeptase that has 100mg of serrapeptase and 400 mg of Jerusalem artichoke extract.....not sure if 200 mg a day is enough.
Wondering if a blend of enzymes would be better than a single type? If so, what product or brand would you reccommend?
Those of you taking serrapeptase.....what brand are you using and how much are you taking?
Thank you. JJ

My LLMD recommended just Serrapeptase when I was doing Cowden. I think the program helped.

Thanks, Lymetoo.....I'm thinking a blend would make more sense.......have you used wobenzym?
Thanks mbdq.....I have the serrapeptase from when I was doing Cowden.....didn't get to use it because LLMD asked me to stop cowden prior to beginning serrapeptase.
Anyone else?

Thanks fourwinds.......I think I would like something that includes serrapeptase along with other important systemic enzymes.....don't know exactly what other enzymes would be best.

That dose is too low.

JJ29.. you did notice Interfase has serrapeptase in it...?
Also I agree with Carol, your doc's recommended dosage is too low..
Dosage (per link below):
The recommended dose is 10 mg to 30 mg per day.
For prevention, 10 mg daily. For arthritis, sinusitis, fibrocystic breast, bronchitis and cardiovascular problems, 20 mg daily.
For pain, start with 10 mg daily and work up to 20 mg if needed. For injury, trauma or post surgery recovery, take 30 mg daily for two days, then go down to 20 mg daily until swelling and pain subside.
Be sure to take Serrapeptase on an empty stomach, meaning that Serrapeptase
should be taken at least two hours after eating, and no food should be consumed for a half hour after taking Serrapeptase.
It is important to note that not all Serrapeptase products are created equal.
The enzyme activity is measured in units and
clinical studies are based on the ratio of 10 mg of Serrapeptase equaling 20,000 units of activity.
When purchasing the product be sure that the ratio of mg to units is 10 mg for every 20,000 units, or 5 mg for 10,000 units and so on.
The average dose, therefore, is 20 mgor 40,000 units. Some take lots more
I take 2 40,000 ui capsules of Doctor's Best brand

Seren, I don't think you are missing anything
The above is just a suggested "average" dose.
When my costochondritis flares or I feel more than usual inflammation, I have taken more per day.

I think serrapeptase and cistus tea can be an excellent combination.

Sorry, Fourwinds, I looked at the Interfase ingredients too quickly and didn't notice the serrapeptase.
Thanks for the link Fourwinds....not sure what 200mg of the Nutramedix serrapeptase is equivalent to in terms of units.....I will need to contact the company.
Thanks Carol for your input ......how much do you take and what product do you take?

- No, just the Rutozym. I have trouble taking these due to stomach issues. But I NEED to take them!! Right now I have Nutricology's lumbrokinase. I've taken 3 pills over the past 3 wks.. not managing it very well.

Serrapeptase is a systemic enzyme that reduces inflammation throughout the body. Wobenzym is a blend of several systemic enzymes.
