Notice this rash the other day not sure if it's a spider bite or possible a tick bite. It on my leg and a little bit of pus came out of the bite. You guys think I should be worried about Lyme? If it is just a bruise from spider bite wouldn't the bruise go away in a few days? I shaved some of the hair off so it's more visible Here's a picture. Hi thanks for the reply. It doesn't itch at all I should add I live in Toronto and the mosquito are not out yet. It actually snowed here yesterday. I have never had this from any type of bite before and I am out side a lot in the bush during the summer. It's only about the size of a 25 cent quarter

I am probably over reacting but just wanted to see what others thought

Mine looked just like that. At first I thought it was a mosquito bite (it looked similar but didn't itch).
Is it getting bigger and/or spreading?
It grew huge and hurt like crazy. All the stuff I read online said bulls-eye rashes don't hurt. WRONG.
3 docs I saw thought it was a spider bite.
I just happened to see my PCP for a physical therapy referral and showed her the rash because I was scared it was getting infected.
She said it was an Erythema Migrans rash.
I tested CDC positive for Lyme a month later.
Some people only get a mild rash or no rash at all.
I also don't remember getting a tick bite and I avoid grassy areas so who knows where I got bit.

- I would not assume you are over-reacting at all.
It's better to be safe than sorry. And, if this is lyme, early assertive treatment can save so much torture, money, lost jobs, relationships, etc.
Early dectection makes a huge difference.
But there is no way to really be sure. It COULD be lyme - or not. -

WHY you need an ILADS "educated" or "minded" Lyme Literate doctor (whether MD or ND, or both) - starting with assessment / evaluation. -

- I suggest calling your area lyme support group for suggestions on which clinic you might go to as today is a Saturday and all.
If you get no Rx, I would get the best ALLICIN (a condensed garlic) you can and start taking that.
OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT might be helpful but ALLICIN is the best heavy hitter of all supplement. ANDROGRAPHIS, too, though. -

I am going to use a permanent marker on it around the out side and see if it grows. It really is more of brown color. The thing that is strange is if it was some other type of bite I would think it would itch. Dose the Lyme rash always last long or can it only be there for a few days.

You said a little pus came out of it. If the stuff that came out was clear, then it is serum, not pus, and that is normal for wounded skin.
Pus is thick and white, because it is made up of the white blood cells that rush to the wound to phage (eat) bacteria.
You should do hot compresses for this, which will increase blood flow and help it to heal. Wring out a thick wash cloth in very warm water and apply to the spot, refolding the cloth to a warmer surface when it cools down. Then dunk it in the sink of warm water, wring it out, and do it again.
You can do this for ten to twenty minutes, every hour or two. I've seen awful looking infections improve quickly with this method.
The most difficult part of this treatment is getting the patient to do it! It helps to be able to watch tv, as it gets boring just sitting there holding a hot compress. It's difficult to read while doing it, as your hands are wet from the compress, and you need to refresh it every couple minutes.

Thanks everyone for the information. If the ring or bruise or whatever it is grows or does not disappear in the next 3 days then I am going to my doctor.
