Since I was 5 yrs old I've felt this sick and then our well intentioned Fam MD write a script for Abx. And now I / We know the affects are known today as a Herx...

Hence and very sadly I soon lost family support. I don't blame them or the Drs. A little support Goes a Long Way vs None. And None goes no where. So now where do go? Literally where? as a child and until 40 yrs later I'm diagnosed.

Do they believe me now? Not completely. I haven't seen my family sibs and my mom since 2005. I saw my kids in 2007. Do they call No. Do they ans or return my calls No they might call twice a year. And not on my Birthday or Mothers Day.

Depression? Very much. I Believe my depression would ease up a big %... I too can't take this rejection and be happy all the time. And you can count on people will say. You look good today. They are lieing or they think we feel like we look.

Any thoughts why family support helps. I can't imagine my life WithOut Lymenet and all the people who take care of this life saving web site. So if it's support you are looking for???

I Believe! You Have Found It ... [group hug]

Annie,
Sorry that you have such a lack of support - Im sure there are many on here who feel the same way that you do - I know I have on many, many occasions.

I don't have any answers as to why there is such a lack of support for Lyme patients or why our disease is so stigmatized.

As to your comment about lack of support contributing to your depression - absolutely. I don't think there's any way it couldn't. For me personally, my hope, faith and assurance comes from Jesus Christ. He helps me to feel not so alone in this Lyme mess and to forgive others when I feel they've fallen short of the support I needed.

Just know that you can always vent here - we GET IT:)
Best of luck and I'll say a prayer for you.

Thank you very much. I can't think of that many diseases causes families dis- ease uneasy do to the lack of info and treatments with such a huge controversary hence we become undiagnosed. At that rate what's so hard to believe is Drs treat the Test and not the patient. Blaming the whole thing on us. One day is how Im going to deal with. I also know Jesus will have the word. He saves faster than any one living.
