I know very little about him or his protocol.

I hear good things - but have just read some things that are making my alarm bells go off - and fear that whatever his protocol is - I don't know if I could do it.

Amalgams - must be removed? At what point in treatment? Before or when the patient has "stabilized" a bit?

100% compliance? I don't think I could comply 100% with anything. Could someone explain his compliance requirements? The "do's and don'ts" - and what happens when one "doesn't" and "does" - whatever???

Did I read correctly that being a patient of his - or a patient of someone trained under him -that seeing other doctors not allowed????

Other treatments not allowed? IVIG?

This sounds grim. Please enlighten/correct me on what I might have misunderstood. Tks.

EVERY good lyme protocol is difficult. But so is having lyme.

Also to consider, there is no one single protocol that is the exact recipe for every patient. Not every patient has the exact same concerns. Not every patient can do everything suggested (either for tolerance reason or financial).

As for 100% compliance, I missed that part. But, yes, there are some things that are so important that to miss them can ruin the chances for success. Some things, though, have more leeway.

Any good LLMD tailors a protocol to the patient. Yes, some tend to be much more complex than others but if something is valuable, and if it helps, that's worth reasonable effort.

If there is something that is too hard or just way out of reach, I think a good LLMD would work with you to find another way to achieve good results.

Also, even the best of the best may not be the best fit for every one. There are many excellent LLMDs. But there is no protocol that is not difficult.

And, in my opinion, every protocol should encompass many of the areas as Dr. K emphasizes regarding parasites, heavy metals, et. Many LLMDs do consider all that.

Your questions can best be answered by the scheduling people at the doctor's office who allocate the appointments. Everything else is hearsay.

As an aside, Dr. K. has said "no" to amalgams for the last thirty years and I don't think anything has changed. The protocol is not HIS protocol -- it is the patient's protocol specifically designed for the very unique patient. That is another reason why treatments have a better chance to succeed.

I know that he does not want to spend precious time convincing anyone of the deadly toxin in the mouth. Mercury is a killer and we all know it.
He assisted me in getting rid of the deadly stuff, including dealing with root canals, but it delayed my getting better considerably.
That was in 1998, and I know that he learned from that experience as much as I did.

I also know from my own personal experience with him that you can go see any doctor you wish -- he would be the last one not to be open to other treatments/therapies. I saw others specializing in certain areas. He is constantly learning from others, doctors and patients. That is how he has become the good doctor that he is.

Good luck.
