I have read that Claforan is much better for Bartonella than other IV drugs, can anyone share their experiences or insights on this drug, or what they did instead and why?

Looking for the optimal abx cocktail to kill my long term bartonella and there is so much conflicting information out there.

Leaning toward a combo of Rifampin and Zithromax combined with cipro (for its gram negative effectiveness) but not sure which ones should be taken through IV?

Is there any consensus on how to best treat Bartonella?

Has anyone gotten rid of their long term bartonella?

Thank you.

IV claforan is giving me the worst bartonella herx of my life right now... i honestly feel like it is going to KILL me...

after such an intense reaction, i really believe it's great for treating bartonella, if you don't die in the meantime of course...

Katie, if it's almost 'killing' you and you haven't come out of the other end better (yet - hopefully it happens!!), how can you recommend it so strongly? Just curious. Feeling ill does not always = correct thing, right?
