Do intracellulars, like Biaxin generally produce big herxes?
They just slow reproduction, correct?
So generally speaking I could start this at it's normal dose vs working up to it? (as oppose to a flagyl/rocephin/rifampin type drug)

I had a big reaction to biaxin. But I also tested positive for chlamydia pneumonia (not the std!) so I assume I have a systemic cpn infection too which biaxin would hit. I react a little more strongly to cyst busters like tindamax, but not much. I assume if you have a different coinfection mix you would react differently.

My son is being treated for Mycoplasma pneumonia by Dr J (CT) he said Biaxin is his drug of choice for it.

My Biaxin was prescribed daily to go along with a 3 day pulse of Rifampin. I do not think I herxed from it. I have been on it about 3 months and really did not notice much. The Rifampin though makes me tired. I also think it has driven up my blood pressure so I am working to get the BP down.
I did herx from something last week. I had anxiety through the roof. I took a week off of the meds (start back tomorrow) and feel much better. I have continued with the supplements and herbs though. While off the meds I have increased my mimosa liquid and added back MMS once a day.
Just started a course of EDTA chelations and will probably do about 10 and see how I feel. This should also help a lot with blood pressure issue.

I took pediatric doses of Biaxin for a few months. Ooooo, the depression and anxiety were sooo bad. Azithromycin does the same thing. The depression goes away when I quit taking these meds.
My LLMD is treating me with other things. I have bad myco, but I've been taking Transfer Factor Plasmyc.
If biaxin truly hits myco, perhaps that was why I reacted so strongly to the med.
