I am currently on Clindamycin (day 6) and handling it very well so far. I am thankful as the last 3.5 months have been no party.
I added Quinine to the Clindy and my tinnitus has flared.
I am to stop the Quinine and replace it with Plaquenil.
Anyone been on Clindy/Plaquenil? Just curious if there is anything I should expect when I start the Plaquenil tomorrow.
Thanks!

On Clindamycin but no Plaquenil. Of all the abx clindamycin has been the best for me. I do feel very tired and depressed while taking it.
I am on a very low dose so not sure if it is helping or not but no major reactions.
Good Luck.

I've taken both plaquenil and clinda together. Plaquenil never caused a herx type reaction for me. If anything it helped to slightly reduce inflammation type symptoms. I had no side effects from it. Tolerated both meds well. Clinda was a good Lyme med for me.
Just watch out for any kind of new eye symptoms. You will want to have an eye exam every 6mo - 1yr with a visual field test to make sure that the plaquenil isn't causing any damage to your eyes. That is the biggest side effect to be aware of.
