Anybody have one of these? Do you feel it works? I just ordered on from Vitacost. It's supposed to counter the negative effects of EMF's.

I have a few of them. My llmd said it would help somewhat with dust/mold kind of issues in the air. I feel it is helping a small amount. I hadn't heard anything about it helping EMF's.

I have one but cannot feel any difference.
I think hepa filters help for air quality.
The salt lamp makes a nice reddish light, it is more for decoration.

I don't think they do anything as far as the infections go, but they are calming to look at as they put out a really nice glow.

The candle one I have seems to calm me (and I've really been needing it!)

Hopefully the light will do the same.

Thanks for the replies.

If your salt lamp is from the salt that originates in the Himalayan Mountains, it has many benefits. Some come from Poland or Pakistan where the crystal salt does not have the properties you want. So be sure to check this out.

They clean the environment in the room, similar to ionization. When watching television or around computer, we are exposed to electromagnetic frequencies that vibrate many times faster than our brainwaves -- we lose concentration, get nervous and often don't sleep well.

The lamps pick up humidity. They can neutralize the electro-smog in a room.

The therapeutic wavelength of the colors of these crystals is within a range and are visible to our eyes and affect the epidermal layer of the skin.
These same frequencies are used in skin cancer treatment. A good lamp helps hyperactive children, ADHD, very quickly.

The different colors have certain effects (I use color DVD's with sound for similar reasons:

Orange -- feeling secure, positive effects on nerves, our mood. Activates kidneu and bladder.

Yellow -- helps with awareness and intelligence. It stimulates liver and gallbladder and pancreas. I have a lot of yellow mixed pillows around couches. I love it because it makes me feel good.

Red -- for more vitality, helps heart and circulation.

Pink -- brings a love and openess to our emotions.

Brown -- helps to find our center; connection to earth, grounding.

White -- promotes detoxing, cleansing and thus healing.

Enjoy your lamp!
