Over the last few days, extreme urinary urgency has emerged as an annoying new symptom(even when I don't really need to 'go'). Also,small amounts of leakage--delightful. This added to the severe psych issues are what I'm currently battling(severe brain fog, anxiety, OCD, depression).

I'm on malarone and azithromycin + Buhner herbs.
Any ideas what typically causes this? Bart? Lyme?

I have Interstitial Cystitis and never had bart. So I would say Lyme.

Are you sure you don't have an infection?

Well, I don't think I have an infection--no pain at all. And I would have thought the azith. would have taken care of any bacteria. But I'll follow up with my doctor and have a test.

If no infection, what else could cause this?

just wanted to say that I used to have a lot of pain with a bladder infection but now when I get one there's no pain at all.

I think is bartonella , it gets better with the treatment .

I didn't have urinary urgency until I started taking the antibiotics. I'm wondering if it could be the toxins causing the bladder to become irritated.

But -- since borrelia love the bladder (quoting my doctor) then you could be having a herx there.

Yeast can also cause bladder problems.

I had this early on and it is gone now. I believe it is lyme.

+ 23/25, 30, 31, 34, 41, 83/93

Currently on:

Just diagnosed Wed with UTI; no pain or burning, just urgency and not fully going. Put on meds for UTI; also high protein in urine, so now need testing for diabetes; and oh yeah, my second Western Blot came back positive on Wed so doxy again.

minnesota .. stay on Lyme meds until all SYMPTOMS are gone. Do not rely on a test to tell you when to stop. You don't need to be tested again.
