I was wondering on average how much the cost of the initial tests on your first visit to an LLMD is.

1st test. PCP $15 or $20 co-pay. IGeneX tests $485

3 months later

2nd test. PCP $15 or $20 co-pay. IGenex tests $1145.

Cheapest would be $200 for IgG and IgM Western Blots.

I am trying to get a grant through lymetap, these prices sound unreal, and I have no insurance!

I can't get my LLMD to fill out the paperwork for the application.

She said she "hadn't gotten around to it"
So frustrating.

I thought maybe I could pay myself but not at those prices!!

Anyone else Have testing done cheaper?

you can get a Lyme test through Igenex for a little over 200. Babesia fish around the same. Bartonella I think may be the same. many people need to spend over 1500 on initial testing. But you can get away with those three perhaps. But you REALLY NEED those 3 tests. If you have a Labcorp positive for anything then you can skip whatever that test is.

This is assuming you want a specialty lab like IGX ...

I know many people including myself just doing the IgeneX western blot IgG and IgM for $200. My sister got her son's testing reduced to $50 with Lymetap.

All you need is ONE Western Blot from Igenex. All the rest is fluff.

www.igenex.com

Test #188 and 189

coinfection testing IF your LLMD will not treat without testing
