I've been looking into Dr. Breitschwerdt's (veterinarian) research of bartonella and am intrigued by it.
This is lengthy but interesting. There is a section that discusses diabetes for example. Another vet. had two diabetic cats with bartonella and with treatment for bart,
one of them no longer needed insulin and the other required a significantly less amount.
Another part of bartonella I was looking at was the ability of bart to affect the blood vessels.
If you google bartonella and angiogenesis, info. will come up. Makes me think this causes CCSVI.
9 But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christs power may rest on me. Posts: 1445 | From Poconos, PA | Registered: Jul 2004

Treating Bartonella fixed my hypoglycemia. So yes, I do believe microbes can cause a number of ailments, syndromes, etc.
Bart creates more blood vessels because it then releases bacteria into the bloodstream (it wants to spread to other hosts via tick, mosquitoes, fleas)
Buhner, in his upcoming book, goes into much detail on this action. Japanese Knotweed is anti-angiogenesis and is no wonder a great herb to counter Bart (and take with abxs)
