I read on here a few weeks ago that someone had been on and off rifampin many times over the years for Bart. My question is:
Do those that have used the drug multiple times find that it is just as effective each time, or that Bart builds resistance?
I was on it for a 2nd time and to my surprise, it seemed to work better than the first time.

Wish I could help but I have taken Rifampin for 3 months straight. At the end of that it seemed to doing less or at least I didn't herx as much. I had to stop Rifampin for H. Pylori treatment for 2 weeks and when I restarted I herxed again. Im supposed to add Zith and Doxy along with it.
I don't know if it causes resistance if taken alone or repeatedly. My LLMD said it doesn't cause resistance if taken alone but another med. helps it work more effectively.

Jamers, thanks for the info. Interesting. Right now it seems like I can pulse my way to health, with Rifampin, if it works as good as it does now, in the future. I hope it does.
