Yes, I guess this post got passed by. Maybe it was a stupid question since the theory behind the CD57+ is that it's specific towards Borrilien. don't know

I am not 100% sure, but my doctor feels that it is specific to borrelia. I also asked a microbiologist about it and she said that it is specific to borrelia and some of the co-infections can make the number fluctuate.

I have always been concerned about artificially raising it by using supplements, but my doctor doesn't think I should worry about that.

From what I have read, isn't it specific to borrelia and maybe even HIV?

I guess the real question is does anyone have opposites? Low cd57 and no ebv....or high cd57 and ebv....I have both low cd57 and ebv...so my doc says its lyme...but now I'm curious!
Please answer if u have had both tests.

I was just reading someone's notes from 2010 ILADS conference the other day - see link below - and noticed some info about CD57. Between Burrascano and Stricker it seems borrelia, XMRV, chlamydia pneumonia and tuberculosis all may lower CD57. Interesting!
