Seems like it would be hard to determine which organism was causing the blood problems/biofilm formation. Infection, in general will do this and biofilms frequently are composed of more than one type of organism.

Very interesting.
Going on a low fat diet causes a herx in these infected people because it weakens the biofilm and the organism and the immune system is then able to see it and reacts with an inflammatory response.

There are white blood cells all over the organism in recent blood slides. So, yes, the immune system goes batcrazy.

Interesting about the white blood cells. Hubby just got a new bloodslide from Clongen that has us pretty confused. It shows what was originally thought to be swarming bacteria attacking white blood cells. we thought it was a form of ehrlichia/anaplasma or possibly another rickettsia species. But so far the lab can not identify any bacteria so they are thinking that maybe it is a parasite attacking the white blood cells.
I will be posting more info in another thread.
But it seems like what hubby has is really babs or some other pathogen -- seems less and less likely to be the F bug from what I have been reading from the doc.
I do have one question that was not addressed in the article. Does he ever see the protozoa inside of red blood cells (like babesia or malaria can be seen sometimes)? The article talks about seeing it in the biofilm -- but is it ever actually intracellular?

I believe this is the organism that is attached to the blood cells.
The organism was not attacking the white blood cells.
The white blood cells were attacking the organism. A much better situation.

Very informative article. Great reason not to take magnesium, I never have and never will. I wish him well and glad at least someone is working on this.

After many years on treatment I felt that twitching stoped even for 24 hrs by being in Plaquinil , Biaxin and resveratrol.Pulsin Mepron.This combo covers it all.
Nothing else could stop them and by the way I GOT sicker in IV magnesium right after the bionic treatemnt for lyme and BABS exsploded right after the IV OZONE and I was previously treated for BART/HEMOBART/Prytomyxoa with HH , Mino , rifampin and azithro but now in this combo the twitching reduced finally . It never did before. I have stoped Magnesium shots and IV magnesiums.The preasure in the head finally has lessened so the burning in the skin.
For 4 months in the treatment I am getting better while on previous antibiotics I stayed years and did not get too lessen the preasure over the head and RA in the hips and shoulders.

Well, still, it seems that the illness is just managed, controlled. It will be nice to see the results of drug suseptability studies. I hope he gets the rest of the medical world onboard!!
doing a very limited diet myself. low fat. little lean protein and veggies/eggs/ that's it- and i am definitely herxing.
