I'm a new poster but not new to LD. I usually sit in silence becuase many are tired of listening to me and/or don't believe me anymore. But now I'm too scared to be quiet.

I'm hoping some might be willing to give their opinions on the following high titers. I just got these back through some blood work my local doc ran due to extreme fatigue.

HHV6 = 21.86
EBV Capsid IGG = 609.0
EBV Nuclear = 521.0
EBV Early IGG = 130.00
One strand of Coxsackie (B6 I think) came back high

My doc says to take Olive Leaf Extract and put me on progesterone cream.

I've had Lyme since a tick bite in '07 and was lucky to have found the tick and the bulls eye rash. My doc has tried to treat me off and on since then but I've come up with symptoms now that scare me a bit.

Bad lower back pain that Motrin often times does not touch and it wakes me up at night. Some days it is worse when I awaken or when I've been on my feet for a long time

Bladder urgency (some blood in urine but no infection)

Extreme fatigue

Awful gi issues (much gas, naseau, painful bowel movements, rumbling belly, etc)

I've been to the doc several times in the past 6 mos with these symptoms but he says he's not sure what to do anymore. I've been to my obgyn and have an appt with a gi doc this week. I know this sounds totally paranoid but all I can think of is what if this is really cancer and I'm passing it off as LD.

I made an appt with a LD specialist but can't get in until Feb. I only hope they can help me due to my many gi issues I'm not sure that I can even take abx.

I think I may have some yeast issues going on too.

I told my husband that I wanted to do whatever it took this year to get healthy...even if it meant opening up to a bunch of strangers and/or bankrupting us.

Maybe with all of your help I can make it through another year.

Just not sure what do from here until I can get in with the LD doc in Feb.

Thank you.

I don't know what these viruses can do, but I know Lyme/coinfections can cause all the symptoms you are describing. Yeast can also do a lot of the symptoms (especially the GI stuff).

Suggestions:

Probiotics (many here recommend high dose, multiple strains - VSL#3, Florastor, etc.) are the most important thing you can take when battling any infection, because they help to combat the bugs directly, as well as helping to support the immune system.

Avoid gluten, dairy, sugar (sugar, honey, molasses, maple syrup, corn syrup, artificial sweeteners; allowed sweeteners include stevia & xylitol), and any foods that you know you are allergic/sensitive to... Best to eat whole foods, organic, and as least processed & with as few ingredients as possible...

Digestive enzymes taken with meals may help with gas and indigestion.

Vitamin C will help with viruses as well as support the immune system.

Make sure you are getting enough fluids to drink, and a good basic multivitamin, too.

Vitamin D also is important for immune function.

Magnesium helps many of us with pain and muscle tremors/twitching.

Detoxing is helpful for reducing the severity of symptoms and herxing. Bath soaks, feet soaks, sauna, dry skin brushing, colonics, coffee enemas, drinking lots of water, taking binders (charcoal, etc.), etc. The search function here may yield many ideas for detoxing...

I use Nettles for joint pain with some pretty good results (without the nettles, my hands are unuseable due to pain and stiffness; no pain in my hands with the nettles)...

Heating pad on the back when it hurts may help... Use moist heat if possible:

Wet a towel and place that on your bare skin.
Place a plastic bag over the towel.
Place the heating pad over the plastic.
Put a blanket over all that to hold in the heat.
Leave this on for 30-60 minutes if possible.

Or, get a Thermophore heating pad - it pulls moisture out of the air and gives you a nice moist heat treatment (I love my Thermophore heating pad).

The moist heat penetrates better than just using the heating pad by itself.

I have no financial connections with anything mentioned in this post.

I guess my EBV titers are all through the roof, so they have said I also had mono with the lyme... I didn't think you could get mono more than once, but that is not correct. My LLMD said that it isn't that unusual. Now how to get the #'s down...

I have some high viral titers also. Apparently, since lyme and coinfections weaken your immune system then the viruses can also come out of hiding.

They are either viruses you've had before that are re-emerging or viruses that you have been exposed to since being sick with lyme. Its important to treat lyme and co to help your immune system. It can't fight off all the infections so thats why you have so many.

I agree that yeast should also be avoided with diet. There are a few natural things that can be taken for viruses such as: Lauricidin, olive leaf extract, Takuna, high doses vitamin C and D.

My LLMD also recommended a drug from Canada called Immunovir. Its used for viruses to help bolster the immune system. I know many on this board have high virus loads as well. You can search at the top of the board for "viruses" and see what pops up.

Also, Bartonella can cause some of the issues you mentioned. My fatigue is my most troubling symptom and Im guessing its related to the viruses.

My HHV6, was high like yours. My LLMD told me that once the Lyme & co was taken care of, it kind of shuts the immune system gate and the rest of the stuff (HHV6, etc) gets cleared up by the immune system.

Forgot to also add, L-Lysine and Elderberry are good for viruses. But don't take Elderberry long-term...just use it for a couple weeks then take a week or two break, etc.

L-Lysine is fine to take long-term, it is an amino acid (amino acids make up food proteins).
