Well it's suppose to be effective against L-form (intracellular). It doesn't pass the BBB blood brain barrier well at all.
And I think you suffer with depersonalization like I have so it might not be the best brain drug like doxy.
But it is effective against L-form so that helps.

Helps ,but I don't think gets rid of it...I was on Zith more on than off during first 4 years before diagnoses...Pulm. Doc had me on it ..
He used it for inflammation and he knew I was sick, infection, just didn't know with what....
This means a few times I was on it straight for 6 months and sometimes also had Rifampin or Doxy in me ....At that stage I think the IV he wanted to put me on would have knocked this...BUT the all powerful ID docs said no, wait and upped dose of Rifampin , dropped other ABX's for 7 weeks .. Then told me to stop at 4 1/2 week..
Then the steroid shots. mostly in 2010, and all things were different /worse/ and here I am....on and on and on
It's amazing how many people new their bodies enough, and if somebody listened and did a treatment then, how different life would have been..
Nonna......Oh how I pray for a positive change today
