Ive been on a protocol of doxy, rifampin and flagyl (2 times a day for two days in a row a week) since mid october.

I had some herxing feelings when I first started the flagyl. lots of soreness and foggy head.

i just took the flagyl on sunday. todays wednesday. i usually dont have these reactions this far after taking it. its been 3 days.

yesterday i felt out of it and weird. tired and sore. today my head feels like its in this total fog

what is going on? ive been taking it since october. should I still be getting these reactions like this?

i just want it to pass . Is this normal?

Yes probably . I herxed severely for 18 mos w/ DOXY but had been ill 10 years . I had to sleep almost constantly .

Later , I switched to bactrim and herxed 6 months miserably , often crying , feeling like a vegetable with flu from hell .

The process is rough usually . I am free from pain now .

Still challenged , but no longer stuck in bed like a vegetable lifeless. I am better and on herbs/ rife .

It will get better .

I have had the same experience w/ Flagyl.

Herxed big time the first time I took it and the second.

Then it seemed like the herxes came 3-5 days later.

I have been doing the Flagyl similar to you since September so I am not too far ahead of you in treatment.

Although I still herx (flu like symptoms, pain all over, foggy head, pounding head, don't want to get out of bed), they seem to get milder each time.

Hope that helps.

I took my second dose of Flagyl and about 4/5 days later I was hit by awful fatigue. I napped all day and I still feel crappy, that was a week ago. I wasn't sure if it was from the Flagyl but it sounds like many of us are herxing after several days.
