It was mentioned that eating liver(,like our Grandparents did) is very helpful for us..
Having trouble finding it. There was one product ,frozen, deveined, and Skin removed.
Wanted to soak in milk and fry, feel apart six ways to Sunday. coming out of package just crumbled to pieces.
Was thrown out . Is that just the way it is now??? Was/Is there a reason to alter like that.?
Tried Kings/Safeway, just this frozen product.
Question ,,,will it ,LIVER, help???? I've actually been craving it , smothered in sauteed onions.
Which means ,I feel like eating again. And maybe crave /need more protein/iron.
I don't get to control much of this *(*or anything else, for that matter) since sicker and need help.
So need to keep as simple as possible to request it,,,,
Silly post, but, no Liver and onions tonight

there are great real food supplements by Standard process that are made from meat organs, such as beef liver and thymus. They have a multi called Immuplex tha is unbelievable. I have been taking it 5 months as per LLMD, and I know it is working.
Weston Price's methods involve eating beef broths and meat organs. There is a lot to it, and it's a pretty hotly contested issue. I think if it makes you feel better then keep doing it!

Most liver, except chicken liver, comes sliced and frozen. I cook it often. Mine is solid and tastes great -- soaked half hour in milk, and dipped in flour, with onions. Cook it through, but don't overcook it. Maybe your butcher can help. It makes a great meal.
Try again.

My doctor has also told me to eat liver or other offal once a week for its effects on the brain. I buy it fresh and freeze it in single portions, as my husband doesn't like it.
I cook it as Gigi suggests, or use chicken livers, which are wonderful fried for a few minutes [no flour] and served on mixed salad leaves/rugola/watercress; also nice with some brown Basmati rice if you are eating grains.
If you are Italian, Nonna, I expect you have your own lovely recipes!
I can get organic liver and kidneys sometimes locally, but if you can find a butcher who sells organic meat, why not ask him for some offal. Better luck with it next time!
