I've never taken these (HH capsules) myself.
The only side affect I've heard of with these is - can cause an upset stomach in some people.

- [For new comers, HH is Houttuynia cordata, an herbal supplement.]
When I added this when on the Zhang protocol, I felt quite a bit better. I felt it as very supportive.
Each person is different, though. A while back, one poster here reported a marked "herx" effect (but I know they started out at a high dose).
Did you start with just one a day of the regular HH capsules (and not the double HH)? If you got the double HH capsules, you can break open and put have into some food or drink it in water.
You could do this even with the regular capsule. Divide it up. I've done fine drinking Houttuynia in warm water (as part of another granule formula).
Why not just stop and see if the issue clears up? Then start back with just ONE a day of the regular dose capsule and see how it goes.
When you start back, take it without any other supplements or Rx for a couple hours before & after.
If stomach upset is an issue, take in the middle of a meal.
It may be that this is too much with all else you are taking - or timing could be interacting with other Rx or supplement.
Not sure if your LLMD is guiding you on this (hope so) but there are several articles here about Houttuynia that may answer some questions for you:

- For those past threads where posters have described experiences, you can search the Archives. I think most of those were headlined as "HH" but you might also search for "Houttuynia"
