Lord I thought I was having a rough time...I'm so sorry that you are going through this..

I went numb from hips to toe's today.. short time. ,while half sleep/rest....caused a problem and was scarry.....I can only imagine how scarred you might be....

been knocked out for a while..

I can't tell where your from ,but does your LLMD , by any chance have a emergency/after hours number????????

Are you saying anything about illness where you are.....

I wish some of the other ,more informational members were on...but it's late.

Did you see the movie?? Under our Skin??Mandy etc. Not to scare you, just to say some go through this .

Are you on other meds and just added this ??

Do you have Babs also?/

I'm up for a while..slept every 1 1/2 for over 14 hours....

I started a abx and got my leg pain back comes and goes

OK ,,so like Jackie, she's so nice, I'll be praying for you.

What ever you do do NOT let them give you STEROIDS....Unless life or death....It's a huge no-no..I got twice as sick after some shots in 2010......

You need to take binders. Look at the list I provided here http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/114666

Do coffee enemas if you can. (I never did!)

Get yourself a bottle of charcoal capsules.
www.swansonvitamins.com

Chitosan is another binder (made from crustacians - allergic?) I took a lot of that. Also from Swansons.

Good luck - it will get better!!!!

Take binders 20 minutes before meals and at bedtime ----FOUR TIMES A DAY ---

nonna,

I think it was for both you and gagamooppop...

Everyone on this thread,

I experienced severe dehydration and it caused all my muscles to go into strong spasms/pain - so painful it woke me up. My DH took me to the ER and I was admitted because of how severely dehydrated I was (from herxing severely). Magnesium and other electrolytes helped enormously, but it took more than one IV of them to restore my body's electrolytes.

I will specifically mention the benifit of magnesium IV's in this situation. It may take a few of them to restore tissue magnesium levels, but without magnesium, it is impossible for a muscle to relax. The nerves involved also need the magnesium. Other electrolytes are also needed, but none are more important than magnesium.

Razzle , Thanks, I've been sweating again so that could be a part of the problem....

But what else could get down .

I can't just go to hospital and ask for IV....
So other suggestions?

Can I drink a bunch of pediolite?sp? or something like that???

is potassium through fluids/or script ok

It sure does gaga......are you back home????

Did they tell you anything to help???

I know ,dumb question, but just in case...

So that means both??? Binders and electrolytes.

Are they both considered the not close or with ABX's??/

I had to get a port and have IV nutrition at home...I'd be pestering your doctor about this if it were me, and also asking the ER doctors how they expect you to stay hydrated if you can't keep anything down...

The ER doctors can also order a port (a PICC is probably the easiest to get) for you and put it in there in the hospital.

Is it ok to be taking this little break??

Thank you all for the support and info...this has been horrendous..i really had no clue what was happening to me or that herxes could do this...my doc still thinks theres some underlying issue but i really feel its a moutain ofa herx

He said herxes cant mess up your blood levels like that..guess so.

With bartonella activated this is very scary.I could not be off antibiotics for 1 day.I had full blown enchephalitis and ended up in Er.
While I kept babesia down with artemisin .Pulse it so it does not come out strongly.

Bartonella is the infection I chased in the begining.I could not do levaquin as I have had tendonitis. So I started on RIfampin Mino Azythromycin .Later I added HH that Helped.it takes time but when bart is calmed down and at the end ( months) you start Levaquin b/c you have less infection in the system.

When you reduce bart babesia comes out definitly .That is why many have to go back on retreating as you can never finish one and let the other get stronger.
Try to use some herbs as artemisin , sida acuta or cryptolepsis.

My nausea stayed and came out strongly when babs exsploded .So hang in there as I used to get seisures. Not anymore. It just that is going to take time to reach those layers as deep as posible and for that it takes time.I am not sure since when you have had it .

I was neuro 30+++ and bartonella was the one that used to make me numb from head to toe .Just hang in there is going to get better. Please add some herbs for bartonella as HH capsules or knotweed .
I used to scream in pain and suacidial thoughts as I could not take it .
But than I sticked with the treatment and I reached the first Plateau after treating bartonella agresively.I felt my brain calm in my first remision.

To kill bart you need to take enzymes Interface that helps to break the biofilm .I would definitly include after it Knotweed or HH than I would take The antibiotics. This was is better as you make the antibiotics help and kill more.

Try to detox and you can do that with coffe enemas and binders or sauna. It is hard in the begining as you are killing bart deeper where the nervous system is in all the body from head to toe and that is why you have jerks. It will lessen in time while the infection is reduced.

Keep hanging in there as it gets better.Just be persistant and do not quit and have breaks ( long ) right now.
WHen you start to fight fight it hard as if you quit now it comes back with revenge.I was there and felt relapse on both infections .

Thanks All...i think the bart is coming back hardcore but no ones giving me antibiotics here...i feel like im going crazy and going to die but all vitals are good

This is evil.

Havent been on rif for a week now bc doc switched me to levaquin and i think that killed me.

Hopefully goong to stay hydrated when supposed to leave tmrw. But i really feel im going crazy...asked for ativan bc that helped last night but docs arent going for it til im hyperventilating.

Fingers crossed for body staying nutrient dense tomorrow.

Thanks again everyone for support and letting me talk on here...this is horrendous. Im still curious why my body cant hold its nutrients...do i have so many bacteria that they are eating up all the good that rapidly to cause my muscles to go into shock???

I don't know if this applies to you. I was having a hard time on 4 antibiotics and supplements, etc. I felt like I was going to collapse every day and just die.

My father-in-law, who is a Dr, said: the antibiotics kill off the bacteria leaving their by-products in the blood, causing the blood vessels to dilate, causing hypovolemia (sort of a form of shock).

That's why it's so hard to get hydrated and stay hydrated. You're body is using up the nutrients/hydration as quickly, if not quicker, than you're taking them in.

Hopefully, they will at least keep giving you IV fluids. I know I guzzled the gatorade when I felt like that.

Hang in there!

When you get home keep guzzling the gatorade. At least that will replenish the lost electrolytes. Hope you start feeling better!
