I read on here and in scientific studies that doxy and ivermectin are synergistic for parasites and other bugs, but wow, it's so true.... ivermectin alone didn't do much, and doxy same, but together they are a whole new beast.

I've read the same thing. Didn't want to be on Doxy for the summer, so I'll probably be on this combo after my next med change.

I'm glad it's working for you. More herxing or feeling overall better?

I owe you a PM. Just got computer back from shop. Will catch up this weekend.

On well-known lyme doc recommends ivermectin with pyrantel pamoate, and I have taken it that way synergistically as well. I've never had doxy, so can't comment on that, but interesting and glad to hear your experience.

I plan to start doxy in a few weeks. I was waiting for winter too as it makes me extremely sun sensitive and I did not want to stay indoor all summer. I tried taking minocycline in the spring but was getting bad headaches so quit.

I sent you a pm.

Sounds like you are having a strong reaction . Please do share if you see improvement . Ivermectin is very strong for a herx with me . You may have less of a reaction because of being on albenzadole already .

Let us know if you feel better ! I will share that I am not on doxy but herbs with zimectrin , which is iver. praziquantel . The praziquantel added to iver seems far more potent . Time will tell if improvement is a result - mainly just a strong herx that is slowly getting easier .

Dan 67, what dosage are you on? I know of one well known doc is giving it (Doxy) in very small doses, like 200 mgs a week. The combo is really strong. Be careful.

Dan - do you feel better or are you herxing a lot?

I dropped the doxy because I think ivermectin was the work horse. doxy + ivermectin I was taking 200mg doxy and 9mg iver per day. Mild herxing, but felt big gains. But I think the ivermectin was mostly responsible.

On another note something is wrong at Lymenet I'm not getting my email notifications !?

How long are you staying on ivermectin daily dosing? I started getting headaches from it and had to cut back. While I was taking it daily I had zero symptoms. I am trying to take 6 mg as many days as I can tolerate it.

When I cut back skipping several days at once, I got indications that something was creeping back - like fleeting bone pain, less energy, frequent urination at night and feeling less motivated.

I still feel better than I have in years but these diseases are so insidious, they sneak up on me and take over before I know what is happening, especially this time of year.

Neff, what dosage were you on for daily dosing? I worked up to 9mg / day, barely any herxing, just feeling better, but it seemed I was getting liver pain, so worried about liver. Seems that no one else has liver issues with it, though?

I sent you a pm but will write it here too.

I took two weeks every day of horse wormer. That is very hard to dose and it gave me headaches.

Then I got stromectol and took 12 mg a day for 3 weeks. As I was running out and my new order had not arrived, I reduced it to 6 mg a day for the following two weeks. I felt great - no symptoms.

When my order for stromectol did not arrive, I went back on the horse wormer and the headaches came back. I was not sure how to dose so it was a few days on , a few days off - whatever I could tolerate for about a month.

Then 3 orders of stromectol came all at once! I started back on it but still get the headaches so I am walking on eggshells trying to figure out a game plan. If I don't take it the symptoms creep back in. If I do take it then I get the headaches. It also seems to irritate my eyes.

I decided to reduce it to 6 mg a day and take it until the headaches start, then take two days off and start again. I have gone as long as 5 days without taking it to see what happens. I began to get the stabbing pains in my ankle, some insomnia, the cough and less energy. It is subtle - you could easily dismiss it - but at this point I am pretty vigilant. Little things sound the alarm bells.

I find that as low as 3mg ivermectin per day, does the job pretty well.
