Hubby got up to what we thought was therapeutic dose on ivermectin last weekend. He felt horrible Saturday and had what he would consider an actual herx reaction. He felt better on Sunday and going forward.
At his LLMD appointment today the doc suggested he increase his ivermectin dose by 50% so he will do that the next cycle. He takes the ivermectin 3 days straight and then is off that med for 4 days each week.
His bloodwork actually improved on the ivermectin. WBC and RBC both went up and RDW went down so it looks like it is preventing hemolysis of RBC. Still not sure if it is working on babesia or whatever pathogen is attacking his WBC.
One of hubby's worst symptoms right now is fatigue -- that is partly from the ivermectin and probably also from the sida acuta he just added a couple of days ago.
If it seems like it is too much then skip a dose or two of meds or decrease your dose. Hubby took the low dose ivermectin for 2 weeks back in December and then was off it for 2 weeks while we waited for a phone conference with his LLMD. His bloodwork got worse during the 2 weeks he was off the med so he was happy to get back on it even when it made him feel worse at a higher dose.
Good luck.

Thank you . I will not push the dose up and will take a break if I get too miserable. I guess the herx indicates the drug is doing something useful.
Bea , if your husband's babs improves, let us know . I wonder if this ivermectin is hitting anything other than worms , or maybe even lyme .
What is sida acuta for ? How did you hear about it ?

annxyzz...let me know if old symptoms come back. We found that as it went into tissues, it brought up all the old symptoms in the order she got them when she first started getting sick.

Sparkle,
What other antiparasitic pharma will kill the baby parasites as Ivermectin does not kill the adults. They will keep laying new eggs.
I remember reading that people in other countries where these infections are a big problem, ivermectin has to be given for life.

Gael - maybe mimosa pudica? I'll have to look into it... I posted a study about mimosa on another thread yesterday. I think it was found to immobilize filarial worms.
There are some Auryvedic herbs that might work. I just started studying about some of them. There are an immense amount of Chinese & Indian herbs - not to mention the ones from the Amazon...

Sparkle,
I meant to say what will kill the ADULTS in the post above. I know the herbs and salt/c works to kill adults because I had many exit, and of course LOTS of cloves to kill the eggs and larva.
Also just read that doxy is also being used in combo with Ivermectin because doxy kills the wolbachia bacteria that the worms are carrying.
I thought I remembered you posted about some pharma herbs to kill adults. Just thought it might be good to know for those choosing to use the pharma antiparasitics. Maybe GiGi knows?
Hope you are doing well,
Gael

To others commenting here : I am having a lot of achiness in my arms , mainly upper arms, and the twitching is going crazy again.
I would like to know how others are doing with this... how long it takes to start feeling better . I am taking a small dose every three days . It is not easy . Also, I feel like I am having an asthma attack every day after I take it . The die off seems so toxic that I wonder if I am allergic to toxins.

Looking forward to seeing others experience with this.
Mine is definitely in the brain, that's what sort of freaks me out. I guess it's more freaky to have them alive in there than dead in there.

Haley, don't be afraid to take a 1/4 tablet if need be. My daughter's lymph glands nearly exploded with the die off and she had to really cut back.
She has worked up to 1 and 1/4 pill every other day.

Yes the three mg is the most common. Stromectol is the generic form.
My daughter weighs around 105.

I weigh around 105, I am doing Albendazole 2x a day for 7 days, and then on day 7, a one time dose (3 pills) of Ivermectin.
Stop for 10 days, repeat, repeat.
I'm in the 2nd. Headaches, nausea, and using the restroom a lot. Yes, doing stuff for detox. Felt more sick after last one for a few days, but could function, at least get through a mild day.
Not fun, I'm crabby, but none of this stuff is easy.

After Three months The herx hit. I am up in dose and fee very tired so tired. And having other things coming up such as viral issues. But it happens where things rotate and when I treat one ting the other pops out there and becomes more activated.
Makes you wonder if they just take turns?
I agree with the detoxing comments and I would not have been able to tolerate m dosing if I had tried this a few years ago.
Has anyone been on the med longer than six months ? And what have been the longer term results. I heard that this med alone is not enough and other ones will be added and will be soon to the ivermectin protocol so I am looking forward to that and see how that will work out.
Its hard to tell what is going one when you have it affecting specific parts of the body and it distracts you badly from feeling ok or being able to give attention to how your feeling over if that makes sense?
So right now I am not able to really report accurately how I am doing. But hope to get to a better place to have a clearer picture.
I guess that does tell you I am flaring. : ) So will check back in a week or so.. and see how others are and let you know how I am too.
Blessings all

My daughter just upped her dose by a 1/4 tablet. She is now taking 3mg plus 1/4 of another 3mg pill.
Her lymph glands are VERY swollen, VERY painful, and the toxins are again making her face break out in cystic acne.
She is on accutane!
Her neck is in so much pain. She bounces, drinks detox tea, and gallons of water. Ivermectin kicks butt.

Hi Kelmo. I also have very swollen lymph nodes, I think that is a good sign. I had pain in my lymph nodes after the first pill went into my system. I also have stuff going on with my face. I wake up with severe pain in my sinus area and forehead.. the pimples too.
Does your daughter have any problems with her eyes? The side effects note that the eyes can become swollen. That has happened with me.
Also, does she have any scalp pain or feel flares in her knees?

Her pain migrates. She will develop big knots in her shoulders that I have to work out. Once, the pads of her hands hurt so bad she couldn't use them.
I hope her eyes don't become swollen. She has had three surgeries on her eyes. That could be a problem.
She is also on accutane, so she is getting a double whammy of fun.

My update : I also had swollen glands ( lymph nodes) and a strong herx reaction. After five weeks , herxes are far easier .
I also noticed passing seed like elements or organisms in stool after each dose. I have had no bad side effects at all .
The positives : I have not had to use asthma meds in two weeks !!! I have to wonder if this relates to babs . I think so. I was living on asthma meds and never felt I got a good deep breath . I can breath much better . This is worth a try if you have breathing issues and I wish others would post if they have this improvement . Other positive : I have almost NO twitches . The twitches were not in muscles, but felt like goldfish under the skin having epileptic seizures . Extremely weird ! This amazes me.
I still have fatigue and some fluish feeling, but have only been on this about six weeks. I will continue to update . I hope others will too , esp about improvements of air hunger or asthma or breathing .

One week after upping dose 1/4 pill, only took a week of a strong herx. Getting easier. Asked how daughter was doing this morning..."pretty good".
She doesn't use those words lightly. It can change in an instant.
Gonna encourage her to start upping the dose every two weeks and see how that goes.
