i suspected i had lyme, bc i had an odd looking rash. not your tyical bulls eye, like i was trained to look for, but a cirle nonetheless.

according to my western blot test results, i have chronic lymes and must have been re infected. I am on doxy and my dr is sending bloodwork to Igenix to see what we are truly treating here.

So as you can see i am in the beginning stages of treatment but not the beginning stages of lymes.

Until i get my results back from igenix, i am on doxy, fish oil, vitamin d, but my dr. also gave me Artemisinin.

Recommended dose for that is 1 in the morning, and 1 at night. I went online and read some postings about this and some people stated that Artemisinin is horrible and they had to stop.
Has anyone ever taken Artemisinin? What has their experience been?

I have been on doxy for about a month now and I developed that constant ringing in my ear, which is driving me crazy.

So I know you can never anticipate what is going to happen next, especially with lymes, I just want to brace myself, if this is going to throw me for a loop.

Hope all who are reading this are well and feeling good. thanks!

I feel like every dr. prescribes art differently. I pulse 10 days on each month and take a higher dosage when taking it. I felt it really helped me. I pulse again in a couple weeks and I can't wait because I can feel my babs symptoms coming back.

I had no problem with Artemisinin. I took it 2x/day every day. I didn't even notice I was on it.

I just tried adding it this week, along with Malarone and Azith... made me feel extremely more tired (and worse). That was just with one capsule..

I've read here it's supposed to "help" with herxing on Mepron/Malarone? and some only take it on their worse day of herxing on Mepro/malarone?

Since it is actually actually anti-malarial... for me it seems to be adding more killing power..

I like the idea of pulsing it like Larae30 does. I took it every day (worked for a while) and eventually it did nothing for me. My doc said it is possible to become immune to any herbs. I think pulsing prevents this.

Yeah my LLMD says that your body gets used to it and isn't effective if you don't pulse it.

fourwinds, Artemisinin has never "helped" herxing for me. It has always made me feel worse. But I think it is killing the infection.

thanks for everything. I appreciate all your input.

A new syptom that started last night was air hunger. I do have asthma, but rarely need my inhaler.

I was laying down with my kids, watching a movie and it came out of nowhere. I used my albuterol inhaler and it didn't help.

I don't know if increasing my doxy is causing this?

I finally could handle the ringing in my ears but the breathing problems is also very difficult.

I am hoping this doesn't last.

Thanks again.

air hunger is a classic sign of babesia. I've never heard of it coming from any other TBI

You should check Burrascano's symptom list (check the sticky threads at the top) and see what other symptoms you have from other co-infections.

Other classic babs symptoms include night sweats, day sweats, lack of physical endurance, and feeling wobbly/dizzy a lot. That's not the whole list, just some more basics.
