My son has had the crud, congestion in his throat and sinus off and on for months. It comes and goes, but this time we can't seem to get rid of it.

I took him to the worthless md who said it was 'just a cold' and wouldn't prescibe anything. I think it is chronic bronchitis.

My husband thinks it's allergies.

We have tried Mucinex, Sudofed, Claritin, (which md said NOT to give because it dries him out and he needs to keep mucous loose to cough it up),

drinking water, humidifier in his room, olive leaf extract, tumeric, vit c and zinc, colloidal silver -

may not have used this long enough but I don't like to give him too much.

He is sneezing a lot now; we had a very mild winter and the pollen is coming out already.

The lady at Whole Foods said to give him grapefruit seed extract. We got the capsules since the liquid tastes so bad. How much of this would you recommend per day?

I am at a loss. I know a steroid shot would help, but don't want to go there.

He is in remission, and I would like for him to stay there.

Might be time for a new md.

Thanks for any advice.

I would increase the vitamin C dose until it makes him have a BM. If the colon is congested and toxins build up it can cause the symptoms you describe. Perhaps a warm water enema would also help.

Gigi,

Only by the pediatrician, and he said he thought it was just a cold. You would think he would notice if his tonsils were infected/inflammed?

But that may be something to look at. I plan to take him to another md if it doesn't get better soon.

Gael,

Thanks for the tip; I had never thought of the colon, but that could be it.

How old is your son (you didn't mention that in your post)? If he has Lyme, then NO STEROIDS because it ill make it worse. Is he being treated by a LLMD?

Try the GSE capsules. I just don't know what to suggest for the dosage. Maybe follow the directions on the bottle.

Maybe put 2-3 drops of tea tree oil in his humidifier.

Olive Leaf Extract (Seagate brand) is good at killing bacteria and viruses.

Ooooh, you know what? I just remembered... before we had the Bionic, my son used to have that chronic sinus stuff going and we got an Andas inhaler kit.

(like this - http://www.vitacost.com/Andas-Inhalator-Kit?csrc=GPF-PA-894321000913&ci_sku=894321000913&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw={keyword} )

When the packets run out, we used Olbas oil and eucalyptus oil. Worked like a charm!! Very good for colds too.

Hoping,

He is 16; we did tx in Germany 2 years ago. He is in remission, but I am still scared of the steroids.

WP,

Good idea on the Afrin, irrigation etc; we have some in the house. It has helped in the past. I just forgot about it.

Hens,

Thanks for the pointers. Will check into it.

I got my son
http://www.naturalhealinghouse.com/pekana.php

ricura and for the tonsils.

I noticed that the bottles that Dr W ordered for my son in Germany for detox were almost as the ones ofered by Pekana BIG 3 ( lymp , kidney and liver) .

I found the bottles home with what was left since in germany. There I found homepathic for treatment of toxins in tonsils and through. They need to be detox as well.

Well I sent my son 12 to Dr J after two years of being off from the treatment to be seen but he did not suggested anything.

I went to family Dr that knows my son has lyme and did not sugested anything again. So I was glad that Scott the betterhealthguy included the last notes on the conference for the detox.

I was SO toxic and had blockages everywhere ( from babesia treatment ) .I tried the BIG 3 and felt the releif right away. When I called to make the order I was told about Ricura and Septonsils. My son has cronic sinusis as well.

I was told that they need to be detoxed as well as they have ( whatever in there and are dry right now ) .My son snores and has congested nose and very sensitive throught.

I just wanted to let you know about this product to detox your son as well on the sinus area and the throught tonsils as well ( they are infected with whatever is there ) .I have tried spray ( colloidal silver as well) and many herbs to my son but can not get rid of it.

By the way I have already cleared the allergies of my son with alergy Immune drops for 1 1/2 year and it has remained the same no allergy for whatever he had .So that means that they are sensitive to fight allergens or infections in the air.

Those areas if detox will be able to heal better after the detox.I just started my son .

I would never recomend steroids if I were you.My lyme was activated from steroids shoots .That is where my nightmare started.Try to detox it will just help your son .You can take other Detox product as well.Like the big 3 as well.

I also am afraid that there is some babesia in him as well.I am not cinvinced he got rid of it complelty mostly in the head area.He still has some in upper part and in the brain.

Toxins that are at the base of Lyme can get stuck anywhere. Photons do not detox. They modulate the immune system, but then you have to come in with detox support especially if Allergie Immun is also waking things up.

Dr. K. reminds people that addiction to Afrin is quite common and is therefore not advisable.

You will need to know what the toxic remains are and be helped by a practitioner who does energetic testing who knows. It takes more than what you got in Germany to detox toxic metals, but it is much easier for youngsters to get rid of it as long as you find what he needs to unload and use the proper agents to do it.

It is a total misconception that photons detox the body. So using more photons is not the answer. You will only stir up more toxins that he is obviously judging by his symptoms still holding onto.

You can tell by your first Allergie Immun test results which dysregulations he had (allergies), and those are the things you will need to work on for detoxing. Allergie Immun only makes it possible that the system now recognizes the toxins for what they are, but the detox support you will have to bring in to accomplish it.
All people who had Lyme and had the Allergie Immun test turned out to be unable to regulate toxic metals and chemicals. That is probably what you need to pay close attention to. Maybe check your first AI test results.

This is one of the main reasons why so many people came back from Germany after the photon treatments, being told they are in remission, but still hanging on to the neurotoxins and no help.
Most of them are still sick today and have a hard time making progress. It is the neurotoxins that make us sick, and it has been found that they can hang on for thirty plus years unless you take steps to detox them.

Children do it quickly!

Take care.

linky123 -get the Seagate brand Olive Leaf Extract capsules (I am not associated with this company in any way), as it has the most active ingredient of OLE in it.

Start your son on 1 capsule 3x per day (away from any abx), then increase until he is taking 3 capsules 3x day. This should help.

Also. Seagate has an Olive Leaf Extract nasal spray. Just follow directions for use. Look at their website www.seagateproducts.com for more information.

Don't use Afrin spray. I've read synthetic nasal sprays can destroy the mucosal lining of your nose!

Dr. Morton Walker wrote a very informative book about Olive Leaf Extract. See if your library carries it. Amazon sells it for a couple of dollars (or less).

Maybe it should be stated differently. Maybe it's better said, "Support the organ so it can work more efficiently and therefore remove toxins more efficiently on its own."

I don't feel like arguing over something that I know to work.

Linky, you've gotten a lot of good suggestions here. I hope you find at least one that helps your son.

Yes, lots of good suggestions. Both the kids went through a pretty thorough metal detox after coming back from Germany.

Their levels came way down, so I'm not so concerned about that.

We also worked with a ND and md/homeopath on detox for a number of things found energetically.

That was also a pretty thorough process - I can't afford it anymore and they are out-of-town.

So, I rely on what I have learned and the expertise, I don't use that word lightly, of all of you.

You know more than most mds we have been to over the years.

So, yes we all need to keep detoxing. I think he picked up a virus at school, that just won't die, which may have turned into a secondary infection.

Our pediatrician is an idiot. Sorry if that sounds harsh.

I must find a new one who at least passes the common sense test. Amazing how someone so brainwashed, er...educated, can be so dumb...

I could go off on a tangent here, but will not.

We only use the Afrin for a few days at a time.

You are right, Gigi, about it being addicting. We have a friend who has been hooked on it for years.

He's constantly sniffing the stuff.

I appreciate all the help; you guys are the best.

We will keep you posted.

Hoping,

I have that book; it's great. The OLE works for me too. If I overindulge in the sweets, it helps keep the yeast in check.

I also take it when I start to feel a sore throat, sniffles etc.

Update:

The grapefruit seed extract seems to have helped him turn the corner.

Also, still taking tumeric and olive leaf off and on.
