I'm curious if this is a normal occurrence - I recently stopped the oral antibiotic cocktail I've been on, both to let my gut recuperate and because I'm about to switch over to IV rocephin. The second day after stopping I woke up to bad joint pain - much worse than I've been experiencing lately. Has this happened to others?

You can reduce the joint pain by reducing inflammation. Bodywide inflammation is one way the immune system responds to a systemic (bodywide) infection.
There are a number of things that can help to reduce inflammation.
