An LLMD can tell you who you need to see. They don't have time to handle everything.

- A LLMD is never the primary care provider, nor most often, an after-hours emergency contact even if an emergency from lyme treatment.
Often, neither a day-time emergency contact. A good office manager might be the go-between then, though. They can tell you in advance how a patient will be expected to manage the range of emergencies that may arise.
As for this doctor treating "only lyme" you might want to clarify with that office if they address other tick-borne infections, heavy metals that affect many with lyme - or parasites that may be carried by ticks.
He may refer you to others for some of that - or he may think it not necessary if you focus first on treating lyme once and for all.
Still, the LLMD should be informed of all prescriptions from other doctors, as well as herbal & other nutritional supplements.
As you have had C. diff., he really needs to know that - and all the Rx you've used for that and other things that can help your gut.
If you are not yet gluten-free, you might consider that as it may make treatment easier on your whole GI system.
Just how much he or she will want to know can be clarified in person when you meet. For instance, if you also see a LL ND, if that LLMD knows them, they may need to know fewer specifics for your adjunct care.
As this LLMD will be brand new to you, you might want to talk to those in the area support groups near his office.
You can get an idea of his range of flexibility and expertise, and his personality (just so you know how best to frame your time with him, etc.).
Of course, you'd have to consider the source of comments but, an overall view may be helpful as long as you still keep an open mind until you get to know him and his style. -

i haven't been treated since 2010 and am only on two meds, high bp meds at that. been treated for acute bronchitis and that's about it.
routine teeth cleaning, obgyn stuff and that's it.
will be a short form i guess.

when I was seeing Dr. H. he did treat other things as well - high cholesterol, high BP, allergies, migraines: he took the whole health picture.
BUT when he wanted me to wear a Holter Monitor, then he had me see a doc at home, which made sense. And he asked that I do my monthly blood work locally .... but if I did not get it done, he did it there at his office.

if the problem could be related like thyroid, or things like that then I'd ask my LLMD.
I think it just depends on the Dr. My last LLMD did everything for me...but my new one is fancier and we focus on Lyme related only symptoms.
