I read some reports on it and some people say it really helped them. But does it work on people with Lyme disease I wonder? Not only is fatigue a huge symptom but I'm wondering if it might help get us through the herxes and generally help us get through all this.

Yes, I take Deplin. Honestly, can't really tell if it's doing anything or not!

I take it because of the MTHFR defect and I love it.... It has helped me a lot I believe. They do use it with antidepressants I believe to help them be more effective. That and juice plus has given me a great deal of energy. Some folks poo poo juice plus but I am good about trying one thing at a time and wow, that has been super helpful to me in the energy department as well as antiinflam.

Hubby took this while he was taking Daraprim -- one of the malaria meds that deplete folic acid.
Deplin is a very strong prescription form of folic acid. Unless you are deficient in folic acid (many people are) I don't think it would be helpful. I would also take a multi b complex vitamin and extra b12 if I was taking Deplin.

Some of use with the MTHFR defect cannot absorb / metabolize properly B12 & folic acid from supplements & detox drink mixes, ie Biotics Nutriclear. MTHFR is a methylation defect and to bypass this must have B12 in methyl form & methylfolate, Deplin is a form of methylfolate, Once repaired can move down to a regular methylfolate supplement like Folapro.
Be aware that fixing the methylation pathways can cause a detox or backfire in itself. Go slow when adding in methyl B12 & methylfolate.

Hmm interesting. I need to learn more about this. So.. a good place to start is by getting one's folic acid levels checked then?
@willbeatthis-wow, glad to hear it's been helping you along with juice plus. What IS Juice Plus-anyone post a link on this? Thanks everyone!
