ive been on abx for six months and i am progressing so slowly i want to change up my diet. everywhere i read it say lyme patients should limit wheat, sugar, and dairy but i don't understand exactly why. i heard sugar feeds the bacteria?? and is the problem with wheat the gluten?? or yeast?? and i have no clue about the dairy.

i know some people who only limit their intake of some things and do nothing with others. is everyone's reactions to these foods different?

if you could clarify this i'd appreciate it.

Carbohydrates in general feed yeast (you will get it eventually, so work to PREVENT). Gluten causes inflammation in most lyme patients.

Dairy feeds yeast.

Some say all of the above feed the spirochetes. Probably true!

SUGAR is the worst offender for all of the above reasons, including inflammation.

The diet below is for clearing a bad case of yeast... but follow a more moderate version to help prevent yeast to begin with.

I've been off abx for 7 1/2 yrs and am still dealing with yeast. The lyme is gone, the yeast stays.

Symptoms are very similar. You don't want it. Basically it is a fungal infection.
