I mean actually, I'm exhausted! Totally exhausted! I'm not sure if its the anguish of the diagnosis and the worry about my daughter whom i was pregnant with unknowingly having lyme and the turmoil. Been on antibiotics and probiotics only a few days and im just exhausted.............When (if i do) will I experience Herxing? Also my whole diet has changed per the lyme diet, previously i had zero appetite and ate once a day and ate bad horrible food when I did! That's a thing of the past though!

You already ARE herxing. That "total exhaustion" is a sign of liver stress, etc. and is part of a herx, for sure.
A herx can involve many different symptoms, a profound exhaustion is certainly the most common. And a herx can occur very soon after even that first dose.
MAGNESIUM IS ESSENTIAL. Your dose may not be enough - also be sure it is divided 2 -3 times thorough the day. All at once will stress the kidneys.
You may need between 1,000 & 2,000 mg of magnesium a day (divided doses). Take it up to bowel tolerance and back down a bit then.
Your doctor should guide you in the balance of calcium, zinc and other minerals, too.
Liver support & adrenal support can help but, still, treatment is usually no walk in the park but still so worth it when it's all behind you.
Liver support: Milk Thistle is the most common.
Adrenal support: Cordyceps; Ashwaganda; B-5.
Fish oil (OmegaBrite) also vital.
vitamin D3 - as your doctor about the optimum dose.
Good to hear that your food plan is in better shape. That's very important. You may need more leafy greens, especially for breakfast. That will help to fuel your cells.
Be sure you get protein frequently, too. And LOTS of fiber. That fiber helps reduce herx.
Be sure your vitamins and other nutritional support is well balanced. Hope your LLMD has addressed all that, too. See Dr. B's nutritional support section in link below. The other book also details support. -

It's very important to have this book as a reference tool for self-care and support measures. It answers so many questions in detail that is impossible here on the forum.
COZY WARM BATH (never hot) in epsom salts - up to 20 min. max. Too hot or too long can make a herx worse and really hurt the nerve fibers. Also don't get chilled. You can be nice and cozy warm but no extremes.
Be sure to drink at least 10 glasses of water a day. Be sure your vitamins and minerals stay on board every day, too.
In some of that water, dash of sea salt and a squirt of lemon may be refreshing but be sure to rinse mouth after any citrus acid to protect tooth enamel. You could also make your own lemonade with organic lemon, squeezed, and add STEVIA (not any artificial sweetener, though).
Green Tea may help, in addition.
Take naps or rest as you feel the need (if at all possible). If child care is needed, I hope you have people around you who can help out there.
Avoid fluorescent lights, scented products, chemicals, etc.
Same with shopping and other tasks that are, most taxing. Staying out of big box stores will help, if possible. They can cause tremendous herx stress from all the stimuli with lights, noise and chemicals.
Farmers' Markets are the way to go if you can.
PACE yourself. Think ahead.
When you rest, try to imagine your body rejuvenating.

Sweetbee, sorry you are feeling badly but that means the meds are stirring things up and doing what they are supposed to.
When I herx (which I am right now from returning to rifampin) I get muscle aches and head aches with joint and bone pain. I also tend to get more depressed and moody with some tears and often, my sleep gets worse.
The good news is that this passes and many of these symptoms will lessen over time. This forum has been a huge help to get support and education. I hope you will keep in touch with us and let us know how you are doing.

What are you getting for treatment? There are some things that you can't take milk thistle with - I had to stop it when I was on Mepron, I believe. There are many things out there for liver support; I currently am taking Burber and andrographis.
