Someone recently told me that when we reach a stage of acidosis the liver will begin to produce ammonia as a defense mechanism to protect the tissue from over-acidity.
This can be why some of us have high ammonia levels.
Also why some of us have high alkaline urine pH (when ideally it should be more acidic in a detox state) & acidic saliva pH.
Sodium/Potassium bicarbonate could help? Trace Minerals to replenish reserves? Any thoughts?
