Hi- my LLMD couldn't seem to answer this, although it was my appointment, and I was throwing in questions about my daughter :-/
I've also researched, can't find an answer.
I had to pull daughter off all pharmaceuticals for awhile- long story, liver is fine.
Her OAT test came back high yeast. I am treating with GSE caps. I know all the other yeast stuff- diet, probiotics, etc.
My question: Will GSE bust up some cysts, and let spirochetes out? Or kill the whole thing? Wondering if I should add back in Azithromycin or Bactrim to 'clean up' in case cyst forms bust up, leaving any more Lyme then floating about?
Grateful for any opinions - thank you--

- I can't seem to get my brain to wake up right now to think about all the questions right now
but I might "cover my tracks" with Olive Leaf Extract (OLE) or Allicin.
Much depends on her age and if she can tolerate smelling like garlic (Allicin will do that). Still, it's fabulous in my experience.
I never smelled "garlicy" to myself but to others. So I pushed foods with garlic and blamed them - or reported that I spilled some garlic oil on my hands (but that excuse has limited use).
CHLOROPHYLL can help with that, though.
I do think Allicin is far superior to OLE, though. Allicin also has some effect against biofilm. But OLE would be my second choice as a basic "cover the bases" approach.
I know you said you've searched - and maybe here but, just in case not, you might find some answers here, in the articles -- nothing will just jump out at you, though.
If at all possible, finding a LL herbalist for support is the best move. Your LLMD may be able to suggest someone.
OLIVE LEAF TINCTURE - whole leaf, in organic alcohol.
Certified Organically Grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. -

I never herxed from GSE...didn't seem to do much of anything for me. Was on it prior to being dx with Lyme, for something else (sinus & respiratory infections).

All GSE did for me was "eat" my stomach. Caution.

I definitely believe it helps with lyme and babs - I have read many posts that confirm others have found it very helpful.

- I've had the same experience with GSE as LymeToo:
"All GSE did for me was "eat" my stomach. Caution."
I just can't take it at all, whether capsule or liquid drops in water to swallow.
I prefer to use Allicin and, since that affects biofilm, I'm hoping it may affect the cyst form, though I've never had the endurance to really study that (and no access to a LL doctor who should know - but maybe yours will).
I do use GSE drops to brush my teeth, though and it really helps the gums:
