I also take Armour. It could be that it may take your body time to adjust because they are synthetic. I am just speculating.

I started out with Armour and I would improve but after several months the dose would need to be increased.

I then switched to Synthroid and my thyroid still wasn't balancing out.

My llmd lowered the Synthroid dose and added Cytomel and I have been great ever since. Its only been a few months on this combination but I am feeling so much better overall that I think this combination is the right one.

I never experienced fatigue from it, just an improvement in about 5 days.

I hope the cytomel helps you. Did your test results show that you need more T3?

I wonder if you've not been "dropped" by the cytomel. (My term for lack of other that fits.)

If your Cytomel Rx is timed-release, that's good and this may just be a transition period.

If not -- or if you ever consider the kind that is not: Be very careful regarding your mood.

I had been taking either levoxyl or synthroid so don't recall which I was on when Cytomel was added.

Cytomel caused severe afternoon crashes for me. Those lead to severe depression and strong suicidal impulses each day about the same time, mostly from being just so very tired I could not function.

Like the ground had just been pulled out from under my feet. I also had undiagnosed lyme & other TBD at the time but the Cytomel was just horrid on top of all that.

It took a long time to figure that out but, fortunately, it was figured out. I later heard of that happening for others on Cytomel, too.

Now, there is a time-release version. But I switched to NatureThroid, a combination of T3 & T4 and it's worked well now for years.

I hope your cytomel is time-release kind as the other can just drop you like a hot potato when it wears off.

1) The Real Deal?

Are you sure the Rx you received is the real thing?

Check the photo of you pills with the photo at the manufacturer's website, no other.

This is good to do for all Rx, with each refill. Counterfeit drugs are being made to look strikingly similar and even pharmacies can be deceived or may not have the time to carefully check.

2) Compare your experience with a search for:

Cytomel side-effects

3) Is there any Gluten in cytomel? Other additives?

If everything matches up and this is the timed-release kind, then maybe you need to shore up your adrenal support a bit during this transition.

And, maybe you just need more rest right now. We usually try to fight that but maybe your body really needs it now.

Thank you everyone.

Well, i have found the key to thyroid, armour or synthetic is diving the dose in half and taking it 12 hours apart. i could NEVER take cytomel untill i did it this way.
i will get my blood retested soon..and make a decision. thank you all.
