If you are asking about qualaquin (the generic form of quinine) -- then yes, hubby was on that combo plus IV clindamycin.
Hubby did great on qualaquin plus IV clindamycin. When the doc added IV flagyl to the mix hubby spiked a fever and had major problems. Later was able to tolerate oral flagyl with the other 2 meds.
I really wish hubby could have done more IV flagyl but his PICC got pulled and so far no one is willing to put it back in. In my opinion IV flagyl is 10 times more effective than oral at only half the dose.
