We bought some mold-testing kits at Home Depot.
You leave them wherever you might have a problem for a few days, then mail them off for results.

Linky, did you get any useful information from the home depot kits?

I bought 2 mold plates. Price was $68. They send them to you with instructions and a return mailing label. You expose the plates in the rooms you select, label each plate, and return.
Your results are displayed on an on-line secure website in about 10 days. It includes the types of molds present in each room, number of them in each room, and a picture of what grew on each of your plates.
We put one in the basement and one in the bedroom. It gave me peace of mind.
Be sure to turn on the fan of your central heating and air conditioning system when you put down the plates. This way, air is circulating in the rooms during the 1 hour test.
I don't believe you can put one in an enclosed space such as under a sink inside a cabinet. But, you can put one in the bathroom in the open. Be sure to follow the directions.
