Hoo Boy, Get my Lyme Hackles up? I'm not even a patient.. but that it DID!
How much you wanna bet that the good Doctor (and former Pres. of the IDSA) has some pecuniary interest in his "new" urine test?

Interesting that IDSA and CDC has always bad-mouthed urine-antigen tests. Now it's a good thing????????

Somebody must hold patent rights for this "new" test! And I'm willing to wager it's this former President of the IDSA!
Any takers?
I can't WAIT until NEXT YEAR ... when DOCTORS will be REQUIRED TO REPORT any "other sources of income" they may be receiving... for "lecturing" or (taking bribes?) from Pharmas!
But this IS their latest spin! "Unacceptable" tests, showing "false negatives" and people taking "unneccessary" antibiotics - BEWARE as this is their latest PR slant! I have seen at least 3 articles like this. Which will only serve to confuse and confound both patients and doctors - which is likely their intention.
So what about IGENEX' PCR testing?? Isn't THAT the same damned thing??

"Our test will say, 'Yes, you still have the infection,' or, 'No, you don't,'" says Ross Dunlap, chief executive officer of Ceres. "With this, you're able to detect things that you were never able to detect before."

Ha.. they'll &^%$ their pants if patients show positive 6 months later .. or after repeated rounds of abx. They will probably "fix" the test so the lyme won't show up later.
