Hi Guys, after ten months of treatment, I have to say I don't feel fully recovered yet. Although I feel it's getting better recently, I am still suffering from that flu-like fatigue feelings (difficult to describe but those of you who have it know exactly what I am talking about ). My LLMD did a lot of blood examination on co-onfections, organ functions, and immune values. According to the results, he feels that the infection may be over, but that my body is constantly reabsorbing toxins. Two immune system values are too low, and I would like to know whether others are dealing with this problem as well.
1.MBP is <50, reference is >500 (llmd says prob. genetic defect that I share with 2-3% of the population - not a big problem according to him). 2.CD8 is at 19, reference is 23-40 (typical for lyme or other stuff?)
Thanks a lot for your comments and opinions, Kern

This is the percentage range for CD8. What is your absolute count? The percentage isn't as important as the absolute count.
My CD8 is very low... I've had the absolute count be as low as 57 (normal is above 180). It basically means I can't shut down inflammation, because CD8 T-Cells are regulatory cells that help to control inflammation.

hi there, thanks four your reply. Will ask my doc to do a test in order to see what the absolute count is. Have you seen any improvements in the course of treatment?

Not really. But I also haven't been on any aggressive treatment, either, and coinfections need treating. I'm actually considering switching to a different doctor for Lyme treatment, but not sure.
My system is so incredibly sensitive and when I tried Buhner's protocol in 2008, I crashed badly and had to be hospitalized. I was really hoping to use herbs alone for Lyme/coinfections, but I don't think I can do that.
