I'm 6 months into my Lyme treatments (oral antibiotics, talking about pickline). I was sick for 3 years before diagnosis. I just found out I'm pregnant. I'm scared beyond imagination. I know miscarriages are common and it possible to transmit. In addition, as bad as I feel, I have no idea how in the world I will be able to carry this baby for 9 months. I already have a 2 year old and 1 year old and am near my breaking point. Can anyone share any insight? Do I need to go to a specific OB? Is there such a thing as a LL- OB?

Hi there! I actually haven't been on this forum for a while but decided to come on today and check things out.
Anywho....I have lyme, bart and babs and just had my baby on April 5th.
I see Dr. C and I was kept on abx the entire time I was pregnant and my baby boy is happy and healthy!
I have had lyme for at least 13 years and have only been in treatment for 2.
MY oldest also has lyme which we're thinking he got from me. He is currently in 6th grade diagnosed with "high functioning autism" and ADHD and also has a learning disability. Ironically, he is in he gifted program as well.
He is currently in treatment with Dr. C as well and making progress, albeit rather slowly. But it is progress no less.
The best advice I can give to you right now is to try not to worry. I know...much easier said than done! But worrying will not be good for you and the baby.
MY OB was not lyme literate but my treatment was managed by my LLMD anyway. I actually felt GREAT while I was pregnant. Starting around 12-13 weeks, most of my lyme symptoms just disappeared. That is why I hadn't been on here much. I was playing "catch up" with several things, getting ready for the baby and just enjoying life.
I am almost 6 weeks postpartum and still feeling pretty good but having some lyme symptoms creep back into my life. Nothing too bad though.
As for vaccinations, we are doing delayed. I have spoken with my LLMD about this and she actually has some things she will be doing with the babe when we get the vaccines.
Feel free to pm me anytime! I hope to be stopping by the forum a bit more.
