I was wondering how much is safe to take in a day.
How often should it be taken or spread out in a day?
Take it with lime or lemon.

I would have to look back at some notes but I'm pretty sure you can take it up to 2x per day. I would hesitate to take it more. It would reduce your stomach acid.

You do need to take the alka seltzer gold a couple hours away from your antibiotics otherwise it will interfere with absorption.

You can take the fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice any time of the day to help with detox and reduce herxes. This does not reduce the effectiveness of your medicines.

If you drink the lemon water often, remember to use a straw to protect your teeth. My doc suggested rubbing toothpaste on my teeth after drinking it to stop/prevent the acid erosion from damaging the enamel.

From what I understand, it should be used only when you are herxing. I was told it can be used two to three times a day for up to two days.

Hijacking your thread for a question. Why are you taking Alka Seltzer Gold. Does it work to reduce herx symptoms? What is the recommended amount? Thanks!

YinYang, Alka-Seltzer Gold can help with herx reactions. It needs to be the Gold one.

As mentioned above, it should only be used two to three times daily for up to two days.

You are both welcome [Smile]

Depending on where you live, it can be hard to find. I can get it at CVS in my area. Some people order it on-line.
