My doctor wants to treat me for parasites, which is good. However, he says anyone in my household should also be treated so it's not passed back and forth. Is this common practice? Plus, we have two house cats that never go outside. Should they be treated?

That's what I was afraid of manybites. I can't imagine getting rid of my cats but I'll consider it. So, what do you think about my husband also needing to be treated for parasites? My doc said he should be because family members pass it back and forth. Anyone know about this?

You can get worm pills from your vet. We try to worm them twice a year.
We have had our cats for 15 years and never had a problem until we moved to the northeast, where I got bit many times. Our cats are indoor only cats, however they escaped once or twice, so they could have been bit.
As for me, I did tons of gardening and brought ticks in with me. I remember seeing them in our bed.
The cats aren't the problem. It's the ticks. I wouldn't get rid of your cats if I were you.

I don't know about the cats, but when I treated the whole family, I was really the only one who suffered because the others weren't sick from whatever parasites they had. Your hubby will do fine.

Good to treat your cats (important). We started Revolution last month. Planning to do it monthly.
Hubby and I are both doing parasite treatment..... I'm doing pharmaceuticals. He doesn't have the obvious issues that I have, so he just did 2 weeks of Ivermectin and is now on Humaworm with salt/c. We plan to treat long-term.

Thanks Everyone. Tammy, does your hubby also have lyme? What pharmaceuticals are you taking? My doc wants us to do them too but I can't remember the names - lodoquinol might be the one he wants us to do for several weeks and then there's another one we will do just for several days. Tests show I have intestinal parasites.
