I was warned by CaliforniaLyme that all of her ALS friends (except one) had died very quickly while using doxy.
For that reason, I stayed away from it until recently. My legs are getting weaker so i thought I'd try it. Initially, I felt stronger and could climb stairs and walk farther. Over a month's time, however, I started having trouble breathing.
My diaphram has shown a 30% decrease in function so I stopped doxy. CaliforniaLyme said all the other ALS patients she knew had died of diaphram failure as well.
My breathing has gotten better since stopping the doxy but isn't as good as it was previously.
