I tried one drop of Dr. J's neuro anti-tox, (the basic formula)in water. I got increased tinnitus pretty quickly, and it's still this way 6 hours later. Can I keep taking it, or am i over- stressing my nerves with this.
thanks

Heavy metals cause major hissing in the ears for me. Could be allergies or other detox issues as well. Those probably aren't the only possibilities.
Just about everything I take for detox these days causes the hissing in my ears. I have to do a pulsing where I take the detox substance then a binder like microsilica.
I suspect I'm allergic to heavy metals and that's why the hissing in the ears.
I can't find info on the basic formula of neuro anti-tox but in a brief look at some of the other neuro anti-tox formula's of Dr. J's, it looks like they release heavy metals.
I'd try to e-mail him and ask for his take on it. Short of that, I'd add binders for heavy metals.
Terry I'm not a doctor

- It is very true that the metals often trigger tinnitus.
If it has alcohol in it, that is also a strong possibility, more so than it actually doing much against the heavy metals (with just one drop). IMO.
The instant alcohol touches the mouth, the ears go on red alert.
I cannot do most alcohol tinctures for that reason. In my case, they are too strong for my liver, too. And that will nearly always trigger tinnitus.
Sometimes, [it seems to me] it's not the amount of alcohol but the mere message to the body that your mouth is detecting it. Even one drop will do this.
This also happens to me with one drop of vinegar.
Could be an allergy of sorts but the body is just so keen on identifying strong stuff that the messages shoot through at lightening speed before I even swallow.
I should have been some kind of NASA test chimp. I could go to the moon with no rocket fuel at all - just a sip of alcohol or vinegar will trigger blast off.
With tinnitus, it's often not the amount but if that is triggered, it can take days to settle down again.
MAGNESIUM is the best helper there.
For metals management, I do best with DMSA, various greens powders. -

I have had the reaction of temporary tinnitus as a reaction to many detox type supplements, including, I believe, the one you are talking about.
I've never had it last that long. If it were me, I think I'd lean toward the direction of wait until it is cleared before going at it again. I think it's a sign it's working, but the question of if nerves are being bothered and such is a good one, and maybe best to wait and try to not overdo it.
I've just read Keebler's response, and perhaps you're in her situation instead. Hard to know.

Sorry, just retread your post you put them in water. Shouldn't the alcohol burn off or just the idea you have alohol in the drop increased the tinnitus?

Thanks for the replys. I did try yesterday to put the drop on a rice cake per Dr. J's book instructions(for 20 min)to evaporate the alcohol. the reaction was less but still present. today I'll try putting a drop in warm water and see if it's any better.
I know the alcohol is at least part of the problem, but sure would like to continue it to see if it helps at all. I wish I could know for sure that all of the alcohol has evapoareted out of it.
If I eat a dessert with any alcohol in it, I really go down.
