I think I have read that diflucan could be considered a cyst buster. So, I am wondering, if you herx from diflucan is it from yeast or lyme?

I also left a moldy house about a month ago. I wonder if diflucan could cause a die off reaction because of previous mold exposure?

I asked a similar question awhile back when I started diflucan. The responses were mixed... It mainly hits yeast, maybe a cyst buster, and maybe hits parasites.

I'm not sure if it hit cysts but I definitely feel that it hits parasites. I'm now on herbs for parasites and am herxing in a similar way. My LLMD didn't confirm it's action against parasites either. It really knocked me on my butt so it was working!

my LLMD also said Diflucan can help as a cyst buster.

I've been having weekly cyclical GI issues with gas/diarrhea for past two months. BABS has been fight back hard in same time-frame bursting RBCs almost every other day.

So at last LLMD visit two weeks ago we dropped Bactrim, doubled Mepron to 2 tsp 2x/day, and a week later added Diflucan 200mg/day in case of yeast.

Mepron increase is causing extreme fatigue. Jury still out after 1 week with Diflucan.

Wow, I didn't know it was a cyst buster. Right on. It does hit parasites too, and since babs is a parasite, it's great for that as well.

I was on mepron before. It wasn't what caused me fatigue though. For me it was yeast.

Gmb, maybe the mepron is killing more bugs for you, and/or killing more good bacteria in your digestive system and causing the yeast to flare (just guessing)?

I get really sleepy from the yeast die off and have to nap (regular thing for me).

This is my second round with mepron. R-1 was may 2011 thru Sept 2011, not long enough.

started R-2 late FEB 2012. After doubling dose two weeks ago I have a hard time staying awake at desk in am... never been this bad since starting abx in Marh 2010.

I have a hard time differentiating all these overlapping symptoms. I've doubled up in my VSL3 and Floristor to be safe. the GI issues are cyclical as well, maybe more from die-off.

I'm also on IV rocephin 2g 2x/day 4 days on 3 off, and zith.

my LLMD has been holding off Tindamax till i'm thru with mepron... tough roller coster, but see lots of improvements

Yeast is the most likely culprit since the main action of the Diflucan is against yeast.

Are you guys taking the diflucan daily? I am prescribed 150mg once a week.

Does this sound like a normal dose?
