Do a parasite cleanse such as Parastroy. If G.I. parasites/worms are present, they can cause nerve damage. You can also look into starting the salt/c protocol.
Parasites/worms can play a MAJOR role in Lyme disease and are often overlooked even by the best LLMDs. Google parasite symptoms and do a search on here for parasites.

This is a common symptom. It should improve with proper treatment for Lyme and co's.

I have this too. There are some days where I can't even feel my legs. They go completely numb for hours at a time. Sometimes with tingling/pins and needles and sometimes without.
It's very scary. I've been trying to build up strength by going running on days when I get a vitamin/glutathione IV, but I can't tell if it's working or not. It got slightly worse when I went off babesia treatment and on Rifampin.

that happened to me until i switched to meds that target bart. what are you on? also in the meanwhile compression socks can help out, but if its bacteria related then you need meds like rifampin, biaxin, bactrim, levaquin or zith. if its not bacteria related then you may try a neurologist but bart will do that.

u didn't mention what you are taking. your dr. shouldn't be so worried about testing you for coinfections as he should be in treating them if you have these symptoms. tests are not accurate most of the time.

THE REQUIREMENTS OF PROTEIN & AMINO ACID DURING ACUTE & CHRONIC INFECTIONS
Indian J Med Res 124, August 2006, pp 129-148
- by Anura V. Kurpad
Fifteen pages of text.
Excerpt from abstract on page one:
. . . In general, the amount of extra protein that would appear to be needed is of the order of 20-25 per cent of the recommended intake, for most infections. . . .
[note: see what author states about lysine supplementation appearing to help immune function.] -

- Several medications took away my leg strength so much so that I just could not continue.
These included nearly all anti-seizure meds I tried as well as some antidepressants (especially Wellbutrin which caused legs to suddenly just stop working). I've since learned that I simply cannot tolerate any of those kinds of Rx.
Inner Ear problems (frequent with lyme) will also decrease leg strength
and so can blood pressure variations such as POTS and NMH, where the blood pressure drops upon standing or after standing for a bit.
All this seems to go with lyme but it can be medication related so be sure to talk with your LLMD about this.
If the medication is simply required to address infection, there are system support and physical therapy skills that can help along the way.
ADRENAL dysfunction can also cause weakness. Be sure your adrenal support is solid.
LIVER support is also vital as elevated toxicity can also cause muscle weakness. The antioxidants in liver support supplements helps. -
