I've asked several different ways here and doc's Conflicting info..

I don't want to prolong agony, waste money and miss some small issue that changes outcome of getting well...Please respond as complete as can..Like I was told to pulse Art.. but not what or what not to take it with and if grapefruit juice is taken at same time or anytime

Please remember you are responding to brain fog,,,

Even with that ,the couple places here and a doctors note were looked at by 2 friends who had trouble with this as complete info...And I never know when I'll be up or down..
Sorry to ask..FEEL it's important [Big Grin]

I was told to pulse arteminisin, taking it for 4 days on with my abx twice a day and 3 days off.

I was also told to start with one 250 mg capsule twice a day and go up to two 250 mg capsules twice a day when I felt I could tolerate the higher dose. Still taking it 4 days on and 3 days off each week.

No one mentioned avoiding any foods or juice, but grapefruit juice can interfere with other medications, so maybe you should avoid it until you know for sure.

OK but I think TF said you could take all ABX's together ,but only those ,,the other supp/med/herbs/etc had to be away from ABX's

She's well.. but that's not what doc wrote exactly

,,I want well
..Then should the binder already be in there?

I can only do so much without food ,the drops get to me ,kinda burn stomach

I try to take drops killers together 3-4 then wait 20 min and do burbur and Pekana...

Some where in there I get probiotics

I thought on empty tummy...again. doc said with food???

what about pulsing cyst busters?? seen both ways... Really want to do what got people well or over hump to function some.. [Roll Eyes]

Then Someone wrote take a group wait 2 hours, then next group wait 2 and do that 2 more times..

That's if I keep my head up and have help...so The Lord can Bless me and Maybe I'll have head up a few hours....

Also that's if I have help.....

Sorry to ask this,,I just want to check for missing element

,,A women who is well here just said she took what she could when she could and a lot of it,,

Nonna, my doc tells me to take my herbs on an empty stomach (Byron White herbs). I think when I do this, at least for these specific herbs, the herbs aren't competing with anything else.

I think probiotics can be beneficial on an empty stomach. My PCP told me that if I took probiotics with abx (at least with cipro) that it weakens the dosage of the abx. So if it does it with cipro, maybe it does with other abx too.

I would re-read the bottle on the herbs as well. I think some of them say to take them with food (I forget to do this sometimes--my lyme brain). Especially if something is burning your stomach, then take it with food. It's not worth having stomach problems on top of everything else you're dealing with.

I would also listen to TF and take supplements and herbs away from abx. Not only is she well, but so are 5 of her friends who saw a Burrascano type doc. And as far as abx go, I was always told to take them together. You can always check with your pharmacist just to be sure.

Burrascano knew what he was doing. Maybe you should look at his 16th protocol again. She told me to just keep reading it. It makes sense since lyme messes with our brains.

Burrascano's four or five pronged approach may just be the key to getting well (take abx, eliminate gluten/sugar, no alcohol, etc, do a specific form of exercise, rest, and supplements). The man has helped so many people. I remember TF telling me she did all of this to a T.

I'm not sure Burrascano knew about protomyxzoa back then though (or parasites), so maybe those are the patients he couldn't get well. I wish he still had a practice today. Have you seen his DVD, Putting Lyme Behind You? It's good and full of info.

For me, I couldn't keep track of everything, so I typed up a med/supplement list identifying when I should take something (before breakfast, breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, bedtime). It helped me a lot, because prior to that, it was too easy to forget something.

I always take supplements three hours away from abx. Probiotics on an empty stomach except VSL#3 DS. That one can be taken with food. Saccromyces can be taken with abx because it is just yeast.

Nonna, can you tell us what you are supposed to take?

Then we can help you specifically. Make sure that you have a good schedule, note what meds should be taken with and with out food, note what supplements need to be taken when. We can help you come up with a schedule.

It can be very complicated. There are general rules but sometimes certain things interact.

Some herbs act like antibiotics and can be taken with antibiotics.
Some vitamins can be taken with antibiotics.
Anything with minerals needs be taken far away from antibiotics. Probiotics need to be taken away from antibiotics.
Binders need to be taken away from antibiotics.

Like Catgirl, I use a typed med/supplement schedule to keep track of what I need to take and when. Otherwise it is way to difficult, impossible, to remember everything!

It will also be helpful if you bring that med supplement schedule in to your next doctor appt, that way your LLMD can see what she has actually prescribed. This will allow her to refine it for you.
