Hi All Where do you guys get your IV supplies-- saline bags and tubing , etc?
Costco said they didn't have tubing and wanted to get everything (except the actual meds) from the same place. Would a CVS order this stuff?

I get all of my supplies and antibiotics from Infuserve. My insurance does not cover anything so Infuserve offers the best prices.
If your insurance might possibly reimburse some of the cost, Infuserve will submit the paperwork for you. They have a billing specialist.
Give them a call and they will help you out with any questions.

There is shipping on the total package of supplies you get from anywhere if you order any supplies away from your home.
Infuserve ships the cheapest way they can. Some supplies don't need to be refrigerated (cold packs) so they can go three day instead of overnight.
My insurance is paying for my IV supplies except heparin. They are calling the heparin an "incidental", which is ridiculous, but heparin is cheap and they are paying for everything else. So far, they have paid for three months of IV.
Infuserve is billing them and the insurance is also picking up shipping costs.

Thats what I'm trying to figure out, if i can get it at a local supply store so i can save on shipping....is this not done usually?
Faithful-- did your insurance cover supplies under your "major medical" coverage or your prescription coverage?

All my deductibles were met and all my coinsurance in and out of network was met by February this year after I had my port put in. All of the doctors I see are out of network so I met all those numbers quickly.
I was only expecting the usual 28 days of payment but they just paid the third month. My insurance company is paying (major medical), not my prescription coverage.
I am crossing my fingers on the next few months of IV supplies that were just submitted.
Infuserve has been great with billing them. You can use IV bags if you don't want to use any of the elastomeric devices. There isn't such a big cost difference between the bags and pump devices since they went to acuflow devices. They are much cheaper.
I like them because I can walk around if I have to while infusing. I do have an IV pole but hate being tied to it.

Turns out no one would sell me any supplies without the medications....wierd!? Except Infuserve. So i went with them and will try to bill Insurance via major medical.
Thanks!
