My daughter has been on 3 abx for 3 years (aith no Nystatin or Diflucan other than 2 small occasions).
She reached a plateau. I felt she was getting worse neurologically: emotionally/cognitively so I asked for a yeast/fungas test considering we have moisture and mold readings in our home (on the low-mid range).
Candida Antibodies for IgG levels were 5 times the norm (0-29) hers: 166!
For the IgA (0-9) hers: 10
My question is should she be still taking abx since this is so bad?
Also does this mean it is systemic? If so, what are her chances of recovering?
I have her doing lots of lemon water and I can get greens into her once a day but should I be doing anything else other than Milk Thistle? I certainly don't want to give her anything more than I have to but I want to make sure she is getting rid of this stuff!
*side note: poor thing has gained so much weight and is beyond fatigued about a year after starting abx, is it possible it's been going on a long time?
Any and all advice is appreciated, thank you

Also can anyone explain to me what these tests mean?
Also one prescription was written Diflucan 100mg twice a day for two weeks(when there were no tests just assumptions)...now WITH the test results just 100mg once a day???
She is 5'10" and now weighs 152lbs
So confused...

It may be systemic (sounds like it is). Diet is the best way for her to control this. Is she following a strict diet like Burrascano's anti candida diet (16th protocol)? If not, then that's the best place to start.
Also, Lymetoo posts all the time on herbs she can take.
Her doc may have reduced her Diflucan based upon her tests. Maybe her liver enzymes were questionable.
Your daughter may want to take more probiotics too. Upping the dosage has helped me.

Thank you for a response Catgirl. She is following it as closely as possible AND taking the Diflucan (which I am not crazy about due to possible liver problems)
She takes Theralac along with 25 billion encapsulated 8 strain.
It's hard to say what the protocol because I am getting different answers and have yet to hear back from anyone after 5 days now.
I pay a lot of money and feel like I'm shooting in the dark right now! SO frustrating!

Most of us have elevated live enzymes, its not a huge deal unless they get in dangerous zones. Dr K says that diflucan doesn't really effect liver like everyone thinks. If i had systemic yeast i would be on diflucan for sure.
Dont freak out, just focus on antifungals, diet and detox-- we all go through it

She may need more probiotics than that. All the lyme docs I've seen have underestimated how much I should be on.
We are all different. I take 300-350 billion IU of probiotics. My husband takes 50 billion. I am no doc, but I suspect your daughters dose is too low. Personally, I would up it. She will feel better. Just up it slowly.
Try her on 50 billion. If she still has yeast issues, then up it to 100. That's what I did until I got to a level where the yeast was livable.
It also helps to add in the anti yeast herbs. I cant' remember all of them but here are a few of them: oil of oregano (be careful with this one though, she can become resistant to it if she takes it every day. I think people take it for one week on, then one week off.
Also Pau de arco, Olive leaf extract, and there are more, my lyme brain just can't remember right now. You can do a search for yeast herbs here.
